WWE Heatwave Results: Oba Femi Retains NXT Title, Sets Up Feud With Ricky Saints

WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi vs. Je’Von Evans took place at the WWE Heatwave 2025 Premium Live Event from the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Evans scored some near falls in the early going. Oba caught him with a major slap to the chest on the apron. Oba caught him with a powerslam for 2. Evans fought back and hit a crossbody off the top rope for 2. Evans followed it up with a DDT then a frog splash off the top rope and Evans sold his knee. Evans followed it up with another frog splash for 2. Evans with a series of german suplex, but Oba no-sold it and hit an uppercut in the corner several times. Evans with a cutter then went for a springboard cutter, only for Oba to hit an uppercut for 2. Oba tossed Evans off the top rope into the referee. Evans with a cutter then a cutter off the top rope and another referee came in to count the fall, but the first referee said Oba had his foot under the rope. The second referee left. Oba threw Evans from the ring through the announce table. Oba with a powerbomb for the win. 

Winner: Oba 

Post-match, Ricky Saints came out and had a staredown with Oba to close the show.
