WWE To Hold Two WrestleManias In One Year?

A new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that there is talk of WWE holding its flagship event, WrestleMania, in Saudi Arabia. The move could potentially lead to two WrestleMania events taking place in a single year.

WrestleMania In Saudi Arabia A Possibility

In the latest edition of the newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there is talk of bringing WrestleMania to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to the report, those in Saudi Arabia reportedly believe that the massive event will take place in their country in the year 2027.

A Saudi Arabia Push For The Rock

The report also noted another key detail about the potential event. The Saudi partners are reportedly pushing for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to be the headline act for that potential WrestleMania. The Rock is currently a member of the TKO Board of Directors and his last on-screen appearance was at the Elimination Chamber PLE earlier this year.

The possibility of a WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia would be the biggest development yet in the lucrative and often controversial partnership between WWE and the Kingdom. Since 2018, WWE has held multiple large-scale premium live events in Saudi Arabia each year, such as Crown Jewel and Night of Champions, as part of a long-term agreement. Elevating one of these events to the level of WrestleMania would be a landmark move for the company’s global expansion.
