WWE Has Interest In Reuniting Former Tag Team

The Enzo and Cass WWE reunion conversation is now officially in play, with WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reporting that WWE does have an active interest in reuniting the former tag team partners.

The update comes one day after False Finish reported that Enzo Amore was spotted at the WWE Performance Center on Tuesday, and that Amore has been at the facility “recently,” beyond the single Tuesday visit.

Per WrestleVotes, WWE has retained backstage relationships with both Amore and Big Bill through multiple producers, including several who worked with the duo during their original NXT and Raw runs.

Per Fightful Select’s April report, Big Bill’s AEW contract is set to expire at the end of May or the start of June 2026. He has not appeared on AEW television since the February parking lot street fight on Collision and has worked only two AEW matches across all of 2026. The AEW run has effectively been on pause, with the contract expiration window aligning with the timeframe WWE would need to book a possible reunion.

Amore has been working the independent circuit since his January 2018 WWE release. He has wrestled extensively for MLW, Northeast Wrestling, House of Glory, GCW, and a number of regional indies under the Real1 name across the intervening eight years. He has also pursued a parallel rap and music career.

The sexual assault case against Amore was closed by the Phoenix Police Department in 2018 with no charges filed. A representative for the department stated at the time:

“The case has been investigated to its fullest extent, while working with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. The case has been closed. This would not preclude the case from reopening, should new evidence come to light.”

Self Made PW separately noted earlier this week that WWE has made contact with Amore recently.

Enzo and Cass were one of the most over tag teams on the WWE main roster in the mid-2010s. They held the NXT Tag Team Championship during their original NXT run together. They split in 2017 when Big Cass turned on Amore on Raw. Big Cass was released by WWE in June 2018. He joined AEW in 2024 as Big Bill.
