WWE could be bringing back Braun Strowman after cutting him.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE is interested in bringing Strowman back to work for the company, “especially after recent AEW signings,” which are reported to be CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.
The former WWE Universal Champion was released by the company in June due to budget cuts.
Strowman will be free to sign with other promotions on Tuesday, August 31 when his 90-day non-compete clause expires.
It should be noted that Mark Henry has made it known that he would like to see Strowman join All Elite Wrestling and there has been talk of interest from both sides regarding the possibility.
Fans picked up on Strowman’s merchandise on WWE Shop earlier this week, but it appears to have been an error regarding WWE tagging the shirts as “new” as he was seen wearing them before he was released. It should be noted that WWE is still selling leftover stock of merchandise for Bryan and the former Aleister Black, who is now in AEW.
