WWE Interested In Indie Star After UK Tryout

There is new information about the WWE UK Tryouts that happened during WWE’s European Tour earlier this year. For a few weeks, not much was known about which wrestlers might be signed from these tryouts held at the end of March.

However, Corey Brennan of Fightful Select has shared some updates on what happened next. It’s reported that wrestlers who took part in the tryouts got calls from WWE after WrestleMania and in early May. Those who were not offered contracts reportedly received helpful notes from the company about their tryout performance.

WWE fans have been wanting to know which talent WWE is trying to sign. Fightful Select now reports that WWE is very interested in signing Spanish wrestler Zozaya after he did well at the tryout, and the company is actively trying to get him on board.

People close to Zozaya have said that he will finish his university studies in June 2025. Sources also believe that any wrestlers signed from these UK tryouts will likely start with WWE around September of this year, possibly joining the NXT brand. Zozaya is already a well-known wrestler in his home country of Spain and has also performed often in the United Kingdom for promotions like PROGRESS Wrestling and RevPro.
