WWE Internal Reaction To Current State Of Women’s Tag Team Division

WWE has focused on the women’s tag team division over the past several months, with the division heavily featured on TV. This focus was highlighted at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event in WarGames, where IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and AJ Lee defeated the team of Becky Lynch, the Kabuki Warriors, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend.

The current work within the women’s tag team division has been very well received within WWE, according to a new report. TC reported on WrestleVotes Live on Fightful Select that the company is pleased with the direction of the division.

“Given the state of the women’s tag team division, which I hear has been internally very well received. All the work that the women on the tag team side have been doing with the Kabuki Warriors, Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair, obviously now with the pairing of Lyra and Bayley,” TC said.

The division has seen a revitalization with established stars pairing up to create teams. The top teams in the division currently include WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane, the duo of IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley, the veteran combination of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and the babyface team of Lyra Valkyria and Bayley.

The depth of the division is expected to grow further. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez look set to re-enter the division following the December 8 episode of Monday Night Raw. Both women have a history as tag team partners and former champions, adding another layer of competition to the title picture.
