Gage Goldberg, son of WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg, has hinted at a possible future in professional wrestling, but remains dedicated to his current football career.
In a recent interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, the University of Colorado linebacker addressed the question of whether he’d consider following in his father’s footsteps. “I mean yes and no for sure,” Gage admitted. “Wrestling would be cool and being amped up and everything and having all the adrenaline, but then also I know my place right now is with football.”
Despite the allure of the squared circle, the young athlete appears grounded in his priorities. “So, I’m gonna live this out, I’ll see where that takes me,” Gage stated, emphasizing his commitment to his current athletic pursuit. “If it doesn’t work out, could be wrestling I don’t know. It’s a back-up plan.”
At the WWE Bad Blood PLE event on October 5, 2024, Bill Goldberg was in attendance with Gage. When Intercontinental Champion Gunther entered and began to insult them, Goldberg attempted to confront him but was restrained by security.
Later, during an appearance on the SEC Network podcast, Bill revealed that he would be returning to WWE for a retirement match sometime next year.
