WWE is bringing in some more top talent to the Performance Center and one of them is a former Lucha Underground star.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jorge Alcantar is expected to start as part of the September camp at the PC. Alcantar is better known as El Hijo del Fantasma and King Cuerno from Lucha Underground.
Meltzer also noted that there have been rumblings about some major names starting in September. WWE has wanted King Cuerno for a while. He’s a very good worker and he speaks perfect English so there’s a chance for him to be pushed as a top Latino star.
WWE was not able to talk to him until recently because he was locked into his Lucha Underground contract. This signing takes him off the list of names that could have signed with ROH, AEW, NJPW or elsewhere.
