WWE is bringing back Halftime Heat. If you are an older wrestling fan then you might remember WWF Halftime Heat that featured Mick Foley vs. The Rock in an empty arena match in 1999. The match aired during the halftime show of the Super Bowl and it drew a monster rating when it aired on the USA Network.
This time, Halftime Heat will feature the NXT Superstars that brawled after TakeOver: Phoenix went off the air. The news was announced by Shawn Michaels during the Royal Rumble Kickoff show. Michaels will be calling the action next Sunday.
It will be Aleister Black, Velveteen Dream and Ricochet vs. Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole
WWE Halftime Heat will air on the WWE Network, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and WWE.com.
