You can expect a ton of news in the next month or so as some of the biggest names on the independent scene are faced with a decision. The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega and several others are believed to be turning down WWE offers in favor of joining the upstart All Elite Wrestling company funded by Jacksonville Jaguars owner Tony Khan. Rhodes has already said that he recently turned down an offer from WWE.
Meanwhile, there are some current WWE stars looking at their options for when their contracts expire next year.
WWE is also looking to sign more top independent names as their roster continues to grow with more talent under contract than ever before.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer mentioned two more names that the company is interested in. Former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle is on their radar and the same can be said for Karen Q. Meltzer noted that Karen is on their radar for NXT. Karen Q makes sense because she is Chinese-American and WWE is looking to sign more Chinese wrestlers as they look towards their worldwide expansion. China is one of the countries where they want to open a Performance Center. She recently competed in the second Mae Young Classic tournament.
Castle is a former ROH World Champion and one of the most charismatic performers in the company. No word on if WWE is also interested in The Boys.
