WWE is looking at changing the name of the “Elimination Chamber” structure

Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE is looking at changing the name of the Elimination Chamber structure.

Meltzer tweeted, “WWE is looking at rebranding the Elimination Chamber the ‘WrestleMania Chamber.’ Not official until it’s announced.”

It was reported this week that WWE planned to use the structure for their return to Saudi Arabia next month but there are negative connotations with the phrase in certain parts of the world.

In Germany, the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view events are referred to as “No Escape,” because the company wanted to avoid connotations related to the gas chambers used in the Holocaust during World War II.

Nothing is confirmed until it’s announced and WWE has not said why they are looking at changing the name but the reasons mentioned above may explain why they are looking at calling the structure the “WrestleMania Chamber.” WWE has not yet officially announced the date for their return to Saudi Arabia.
