As previously noted, you can expect more changes as WWE SmackDown moves to FOX next month.
Dave Meltzer has plenty of details in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter including a note on the announcing teams.
The current plan is for the announcing teams to be separated, which means Corey Graves will no longer be pulling double duty on both Raw and SmackDown Live. He will be on one of the two shows.
As written about last week, the idea is to do another hard split with the rosters and there are plans to do another draft in October with the Wild Card rule being eliminated.
Meltzer noted that FOX plans on presenting the draft like a legitimate sports draft and SmackDown will no longer be treated as the “B” show.
Of course, things can always change especially if the ratings on FOX for SmackDown don’t reach expectations. Another note is that in the FOX ads, SmackDown Live is not being referred to as Friday Night SmackDown, which was the name of the show a few years ago before it moved to Tuesday.
