WWE Is Not Introducing A Tribal Chief Championship

Earlier this month, there had been chatter of WWE creating a new championship belt that would be used purely for the ongoing feud between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.

The two SmackDown stars have feuded for the past several months to determine who the real Tribal Chief is. At Survivor Series: WarGames, it was Reigns who pinned Sikoa in the Men’s WarGames Match, where the OG Bloodline, alongside CM Punk, battled the New Bloodline with Bronson Reed.

Reigns will meet Sikoa in Tribal Combat on the Raw Netflix debut episode next month in LA. WrestleVotes had previously reported that WWE had discussed the idea of creating a Tribal Chief Title for the feud. It was described as being similar to The Rock’s People’s Title.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the title won’t be created, and the two stars will feud over the ula fala.

Meltzer wrote, “Regarding reports of a new title being added called the Tribal Chief title, we’re told that’s not happening either. Now will guys feud over the ula fala, yes, obviously.”
