WWE Is Reportedly Monitoring The Negative Fan Feedback On The Rock Taking Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania Spot

The negative feedback is continuing to pour in after The Rock stepped in during SmackDown to take Cody Rhodes’ spot at WrestleMania 40.

As was noted earlier, The Rock posted on social media very late last night and has kept a positive spin. On Instagram, The Rock posted reaction videos of people elated to see him on SmackDown. However, if you look at the comments under his social media posts, it seems like there is much more negative feedback than positive.

If nothing changes in the next few days then The Rock vs. Roman Reigns will be made official at the press conference this Thursday in Las Vegas. However, it’s worth noting that WWE is monitoring the situation and there’s always a chance that they can pivot away from Rock vs. Reigns.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson wrote today that WWE has been “absolutely” monitoring the responses on social media. So for Cody fans, there’s at least a chance that plans could change. As of this writing, the full segment posted on WWE’s YouTube account has 99,000 likes and over 500,000 dislikes. That is far and away the record for most dislikes for a WWE video on their channel.
