WWE Is Said To Be A Priority For The Rock

Fans shouldn’t worry about where The Rock’s priority is when it comes to WWE ahead of WrestleMania 41.

Coming out of WrestleMania 40, where he had worked his first match in years, it was expected that a showdown with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes would happen next year. Rock made a surprise appearance following the Bad Blood main event, in which Rhodes and Roman Reigns beat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

While there was a report by Dave Meltzer that Rock wasn’t scheduled for WrestleMania 41 next April and gave word he wouldn’t be able to do the match, Rock later responded in an Instagram comment on his post, noting, “Don’t believe any of that bull****.” WrestleVotes reported two weeks ago that plans for The Rock to wrestle at WrestleMania 41 are still in place.

Fightful now has an update: “At least sources within WWE claim that the company is a priority for the Rock, and he’s expected in the fold here and there in sporadic fashion. Higher-ups that Fightful spoke to said the Rock has made clear he’s a part of “the family” and will appear when he’s able.”

Intuit Dome sources are hopeful that Rock will appear on Netflix’s first episode of Raw. Regarding his Bad Blood appearance, it was said that a few days before the show, WWE got solid confirmation that Rock would appear.
