WWE is trying to keep B-shows under 4 hours

There was a meeting held on Wednesday, July 10 about the direction of Sunday’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Dave Meltzer reported that, at the meeting, the decision was made not add any more matches to the show.

In the past, Vince McMahon would add a match or two to a pay-per-view in the final days before the show but that is not happening this time.

It will be a ten-match show which in the past has meant that the show would go to at least 11 pm eastern but lately, they have been trying to get the B-shows done much earlier than 11 pm because they have seen the feedback from fans saying WWE pay-per-views are too long.

The big 4 shows, including SummerSlam and WrestleMania, will still be longer than the regular B-shows.

If WWE plans on keeping the Extreme Rules main card under 4 hours then that will likely mean that there will be at least one or two matches that will be rushed.
