WWE is working on four major matches for WrestleMania

WWE has plans for a few big matches at WrestleMania 37 in Tampa, Florida.

As noted earlier, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE has yet to lock in the top matches for the show.

However, WrestleVotes is reporting that once it was decided that Mania will be split up into two nights, the creative team started working on “bigger” ideas for the show and the feeling is that 4 MAJOR matches are needed.

WV added that this probably requires some outside assistance from big names with John Cena and Goldberg said to be “nearly” locked in. The Rock is unlikely for the show and things are to be determined with The Undertaker. Since Taker is retired, I would assume that he would be there to give someone a chokeslam or a tombstone instead of an actual match.

Cena’s name makes sense since he lives in the area and he would likely be available since production in Hollywood has slowed down because of the pandemic. Cena was featured in the “WrestleMania Report” video that was posted by WWE last weekend to announce the dates and locations for the next three WrestleMania events.

In regards to Triple H wrestling or appearing on the show, WV added that his status is “TBD.”
