WWE Lets Go SVP Creative Writing Ops Amid Staff Cuts

WWE reportedly underwent another round of staff reductions on Thursday, May 1st, with multiple employees let go.

PWInsider.com reports that Christine Lubrano, senior vice president of creative writing operations, was among the departures. Lubrano was reportedly one of several individuals released by the company.

The report estimated the scope of the cuts, stating, “The belief is at least 10-12 staffers were cut today, possibly more.” The report also indicated the cuts were not confined to one area, adding, “There were also cuts in several departments, including creative services, photography, and more.”

Having joined WWE in January 2021, Lubrano occupied a significant role within the company’s creative hierarchy. PWInsider described her responsibilities, noting Lubrano “was tasked with overseeing all strategic operations for the company’s creative division. The Raw, SmackDown, and NXT creative teams reported to both Lubrano and Bruce Prichard, who reported to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.”

Before her tenure with WWE, Lubrano brought considerable television executive experience, previously serving as the SVP of Original Programming and Development at IFC.
