According to local advertising for the May 13th WWE live event in Augusta, Georgia, Cody Rhodes is slated to wrestle against Solo Sikoa. Rhodes wrestled Sikoa and Finn Balor at live events earlier this month.
The live events sometimes will give an indication of upcoming creative plans since they tend to have wrestlers wrestle at live events in preparation for a bigger match on pay-per-view.
In addition to the Rhodes vs. Sikoa match, WWE is also advertising Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens defending their titles against The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Rey Mysterio.
Also, in a four-way match, Bianca Belair is scheduled to defend her Raw Women’s Title against Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Piper Niven in a Fatal Four-Way match. Stratus is not working on house shows but is expected to headline a pay-per-view (possibly SummerSlam) against Lynch. The live event line-ups indicate that Belair will feud with Asuka and/or Niven after Backlash.
Other names advertised to appear but with no matches announced are: Bobby Lashley, Finn Balor, Imperium, and the team of Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.
