WWE looking to reunite The Shield for a future pay-per-view?

There has been talk of doing a Shield reunion or some type of spot with The Shield at one of the joint branded pay-per-views. The news was first reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. If they do it then it would be on a show like Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble.

There have been a few teases since the group broke up 2 years ago. In June, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were the guests on Dean Ambrose’s Ambrose Asylum. There have been other teases (including Ambrose and Rollins working together on a show in Tokyo in July) but all three men have been kept apart for the most part.

Roman Reigns has said in interviews that he’d love to do a Shield reunion one day but not anytime soon as he focuses on his singles career. He was also pushing for a Triple Threat match with all three members at a future WrestleMania. If they want to do the spot then right now is the time to start thinking about it since all three members are babyfaces.

Reigns is still stuck in first gear as the company continues to try different things so that the fans can cheer him. Perhaps a short run with his Shield brothers is what he needs to get the fans behind him again.
