As reported weeks ago, the contract for WWE Main Event was coming up. As of today a new deal has not been reached. I’m not sure ION wants to work out a new deal. The show will stay exclusive to the WWE Network unless WWE gets a deal for the show elsewhere.
Paul Heyman had teased over the weekend in interviews that he was looking for a new Paul Heyman guy. That led to speculation that it might be Rob Van Dam. Cesaro is a good choice. The company wanted to give Cesaro a push and Heyman needed someone else to manage since Brock Lesnar was going on another extended break so it was a perfect fit.
