WWE makes a change to their broadcast team

WWE has made a change to the 205 Live commentary team as a result of NXT going live every week starting next Wednesday.

During Tuesday’s episode of 205 Live, it was revealed that Nigel McGuinness will no longer be doing commentary for the show.

Instead, he was replaced by NXT wrestler Dio Maddin. This is where he was announced as the newest member of the broadcast team.

Mauro Ranallo, McGuinness, and Beth Phoenix are the commentary team for NXT. Going forward, Maddin will be working alongside Vic Joseph and Aiden English.

Maddin, real name Brennan Williams, is a former NFL offensive lineman who was trained by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. He signed with WWE in 2016 where he had been wrestling at NXT house shows since then.

WWE NXT will air live on Wednesdays next week with the first two episodes seeing the first hour be live on the USA Network while the second hour will air on the WWE Network.

Starting October 2nd, NXT will then move to the USA Network for the full two hours.
