WWE is gearing up for their next pay-per-view event, SummerSlam, that appears to have an interesting change to go along with it.
The promotional material for the SummerSlam’s Kickoff show lists the show starting at 6 P.M. Eastern, which would mean that the show is only one-hour. This is different from what WWE previous has done.
The minor PPV events have a one-show pre-show while the big four – SummerSlam, WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series – feature a two-hour pre-show.
With such a change, that would indicate there will be fewer matches on the pre-show. This is happy news to some fans who believe the big four events have become marathons to get through.
The SummerSlam pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Here is the updated card:
