WWE may have spoiled one of the top matches for Clash of Champions

We are currently in a lull period as we wait for the hype for the Royal Rumble to start but WWE is doing everything they can to get a few extra subscribers on the WWE Network.

WWE’s plan to garner interest in Sunday’s Clash of Champions show is to build intrigue for one of the top matches. Will Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon call everything down the middle or will someone get screwed? Will Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens be fired from WWE on Sunday night?

Well, although I think most fans probably realize that Zayn and Owens are unlikely to be fired, it might have been smart to hold off on including either of them on post-Clash of Champions advertisements.

As we noted on Wednesday morning, WWE Mixed Match Challenge will premiere next month on Facebook Watch. The show will feature mixed tag matches from both Raw and Smackdown. Funny enough, Zayn is being advertised for the show. So, that pretty much guarantees that he and Owens will not be fired on Sunday. Or, at the very least, they would be fired and reinstated before the Mixed Match Challenge show starts.

It will be interesting to see how things play out on Sunday. There have been rumblings of a possible in-ring return for Daniel Bryan but, as of a few days ago, he was not cleared by a WWE doctor. So, we’ll see what else they have in mind. It certainly looks like McMahon or Bryan is going to screw someone over.
