WWE Monday Night Raw 11/28/16 results: Flair vs. Banks, Owens vs. Reigns

Welcome to the WWE Raw pre-show, and we are live on the WWE Network. Scott Stanford, Booker T, Lita, and Jerry Lawler hype what we will see tonight, which is Paul Heyman addressing Goldberg defeating Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. The panel hyped Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks and New Day vs. Karl Andersson & Luke Gallows tonight. There was a backstage segment with Sami Zayn and Mick Foley. Zayn wanted to wrestle Braun Strowman tonight, but Foley told him that Strowman already had an opponent. Zayn said it would take actions into his own hands.

Welcome to WWE Monday Night Raw, there is a recap video of last week’s episode of Raw. Chris Jericho opens the show in the ring for a Highlight Reel segment. Jericho brought out Kevin Owens. They talked about what they are thankful for. Owens is thankful for being WWE Universal Champion and his best friend – Jericho. Jericho thanked Owens for being his best friend, his scarf and Seth Rollins because he is a stupid idiot for being arrogant. This led to Roman Reigns walking down to the ring. Owens botched his line, and Reigns said that if Owens didn’t have Jericho last week, then he would have lost the title a long time ago. Jericho threatened to put Reigns on the list, and Owens told him to shut up then told Reigns he might powerbomb him on the apron. Reigns challenged Owens to a match tonight. Owens said that Reigns would have his match tonight. Reigns said that he would be kicking Owens’ ass.

-Commercial Break-

There was a backstage segment with Jericho, Owens, and Foley. Jericho said that he is over his friendship with Owens. Jericho is leaving.

Singles Match: R-Truth vs. Braun Strowman.

R-Truth attacked him early, but Strowman got the better of him. Strowman hit his running power slam for the win.

Winner: Strowman.

Post-match, Strowman attacked Goldust. Zayn ran down and attacked Strowman. Strowman got the better of him and beat him down until Foley had referees stop him.

We’re back with Foley being interviewed by Bryon Saxton. Foley said that some Superstars need to be saved from themselves and Zayn is in that boat. Zayn said that he needs to be saved from Foley, who takes orders from behind. Foley said that he made the match because Stephanie McMahon wanted him fired due to him losing to The Miz at Survivor Series. Foley said that Zayn could beat Strowman. Zayn said how dare Foley for saying that and is a hero to him as well as the fans. Zayn said that Foley is taking away opportunities and a hypocrite.

Charlotte Flair cut a backstage promo about how she will end her feud with Banks forever tonight.

Singles Match: Tony Nese vs. Cedric Alexander.

They lock up, and Alexander caught him with a series of drop kicks as Alicia Fox watches on. Drew Gulak distracted Alexander and Nose hit a springboard moonsault for 2. Nese locked in a body triangle. Alexander fought back and hit a head kick. Nese attacked Alexander from behind and hit his finisher for the win.

Winner: Nese.

-Commercial Break-

Jericho told a backstage interviewer that if Owens doesn’t need him, then he is out of here and walked out of the arena. The driver of the limo knocked the list of his hands then Seth Rollins attacked Jericho. Rollins hit a Pedigree to Jericho on top of a car.

RAW Women’s Title Match: Charlotte © vs. Sasha Banks.

Banks knocked her down early and went for the Bank Statement, but Dana Brooke got involved. Banks tossed Brooke into the steel steps. Banks hit a crossbody to Flair. They brawl around ringside, and the match is a double count out. Foley walked and said that this match would not end like this. Foley told them to have a rest and later in the show, and it will be a falls count anywhere match.

-Commercial Break-

Lana introduced Rusev. Enzo Amore said that the only reason Rusev beat him last week because he got lucky and that happened on the same day that Lana got to see a real man. They brought up Thanksgiving and Amore said that while Rusev was eating with his family, Lana was thinking about Amore stuffing her turkey.

Singles Match: Rusev vs. Enzo Amore.

Rusev with a big clothesline then kicked him in the nuts and left.

Winner: Amore via DQ.

-Commercial Break-

A preview for “Incarnate” was shown. Mark Henry was about to be interviewed about the film, but Titus O’Neil interrupted and said that Henry stole his role. Henry pushed him after O’Neil grabbed his arm.

Singles Match: Rich Swann vs. Noam Dar with Brian Kendrick on commentary.

Swann hit a series of kicks to Dar. Dar caught him with a soccer kick to the throat. They exchanged right hands. Swann kicked him then went for a frog splash, but Dar countered and rolled him up for 2. Swann with a big kick for the win.

Winner: Swann.

Post-match, Swann cut a promo about beating Kendrick twice already, and when he beats him for a third time, then it will be even better because he will be the Cruiserweight Champion.

Sheamus and Cesaro were seen in a bar. They both agree that they should be Tag Team Champions by now but are not on the same page. There were several NXT talents in the bar mocking them. This led to a brawl breaking out.

Singles Match: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins.

Owens jumped Reigns before the bell rang and then continued to beatdown once it did ring. Reigns sent him shoulder first into the barricade. Owens knocked him down, and we cut to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Reigns hitting clotheslines to Owens. Owens cut him off with a DDT for 2. Owens hit a cannonball for 2. Owens locked in a headlock, but Reigns fought out of it. Reigns with a series of clotheslines then a big boot and a samoan drop for 2. They exchange shots and Reigns hit a Superman Punch for 2. Reigns sent him head first into the apron then hit a spear for the win.

Winner: Reigns.

Owens cuts a backstage promo about how he lost the match to Reigns because his head was not right due to his issues with Jericho.

Michael Cole interviews Paul Heyman in a pre-taped segment. Heyman said that they screwed up by taking Lesnar lightly at Survivor Series. Heyman said that it was a F’ing video game and Goldberg stepped in the ring with Lesnar and thought it was going to be the easiest payday of Lesnar’s career. Heyman said that Goldberg cracked Lesnar’s ribs and therefore Lesnar couldn’t fight. Heyman said that Cole doesn’t care how Lesnar feels. Heyman added that the cracked ribs are part of the game but the humiliation and embarrassment can not be matched by excuses as people can watch this for the next 100 years. Heyman explained that he has been with Lesnar for his ups and downs and now this has made Lesnar wanting to show what he can prove. It scares Heyman because it can define or destroy you. Heyman confirmed that Lesnar would be in the 2017 Royal Rumble Match. Heyman said that there is only room for 1 winner, 28 losers, and 1 victim, which will be Goldberg.

RAW Tag Team Title Match: New Day © vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Anderson and Gallows beat down Woods early in the match.

We’re back with Big E in control of Anderson. He hit a power slam to him, but Anderson cut him off with a big boot for 2. Anderson and Gallows hit a big double team move for 2. Anderson and Gallows went for the Magic Killer, but Gallows hit to hit a powerbomb to Big E. Woods rolled up Anderson for the win.

Winners: New Day.

RAW Women’s Title Match: Charlotte Flair © vs. Sasha Banks.

They start brawling at ringside then they hit a double clothesline.

We’re back with both girls chopping each other on the apron. Charlotte hit a big boot for 2. Flair hit the Natural Selection outside of the ring then Banks grabbed a kendo stick. Banks hit her a few times with it then they brawl up towards the stage. Flair hit a moonsault off the announce table, and Banks kicked out for 2. They brawl back to ringside, and Banks hit a dive off the barricade for 2. Banks locked in the Bank Statement for the win.

Winner: Banks.

Ric Flair walks down to the ring and celebrates with Banks to close the show.
