WWE Monday Night Raw 12/5/16 results: Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn, Chris Jericho vs. Roman Reigns

It was announced during the RAW Pre-Show that Bayley would face Alicia Fox and Titus O’Neil would face Mark Henry.

Welcome to WWE Monday Night Raw, there is a recap video of last week’s episode of Raw. Seth Rollins walks down to the ring to open the show. Rollins said that he sent a message to Triple H last week when he Pedigreed Jericho. Rollins said he will get to Triple H by beating Kevin Owens. He said has to get Jericho first, however. Rollins added that without Jericho, Kevin Owens isn’t quite prime time. Owens walked out and said that sometimes best friends fight sometimes. Owens said that when Rollins had friends, he stabbed them in the back. Owens said that what matters is that best friends make up. Owens said that he got Jericho some gifts, thee gifts in fact. Rollins said that if werent’ for Jericho, Owens wouldn’t be Universal Champion. Owens said that he is a fighting champion and that Roman Reigns is not. Owens added that all he could think about was Jericho last week when he wrestled Reigns. Rollins challenged Owens to a title match tonight. Owens turned him down and noted that he beat Rollins two weeks ago. Owens noted that he would wrestle Sami Zayn tonight. Owens said that he talked to Stephanie McMahon and she told him that Jericho would face Reigns tonight. He also said that Jericho would face Rollins at Roadblock. Owens said that Rollins would face The Big Show tonight.

-Commercial Break-

—- Singles Match: The Big Show vs. Seth Rollins.

The Big Show beat him down early in the match as Owens watched on from ringside. Rollins knocked him down and covered him but Big Show kicked out. Rollins kicked Show in the face then hit a flying knee strike and then another. Show fought back but Owens was yelling at him. Show chokeslammed him then left the ring. Rollins won by countout.

Winner: Rollins via countout.

Post-match, Owens hit a Pedigree to Owens.

A video for Jack Gallagher was shown.

-Commercial Break-

—- Singles Match: Jack Gallagher vs. Ariya Daivari

Gallagher beat him down early in the match. Daivari hit a few moves before Gallegher cut him off and hit a drop kick in the corner for the win.

Winner: Gallagher

Post-match, Daivari shook Gallagher’s hand and beat him down in the ring.

-Commercial Break-

Owens told Mick Foley backstage that he shouldn’t be wrestling tonight. Foley thought differently and told him that he would be then walked off. Owens walked up to Jericho and asked him if he saw what just happened. Jericho said he didn’t see it. Owens told him that he got matches booked. Jericho told that they’re not good.

Big Cass and Enzo Amore watched Rusev yell at Lana. Amore didn’t like it and got involved. Amore told him to calm down. Lana stuck up for Amore and Rusev told her that maybe she deserves a pathetic man like Amore. Lana took off her ring and threw it Rusev. He stormed off. Amore told Big Cass that he would see him later. Amore told Lana that if she is a good listener and asked her how she’s doing.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Amore and Lana talking. Lana said that Rusev needs to be taught a lesson. Maybe if he saw her with another man and that Amore needs to come to her hotel room tonight.

—- Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens.

They go right at it and Owens rolled to the floor. Zayn tossed Owens into the barricade. Zayn hit an outside dive to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Zayn in control of owens. Zayn hit a DDT on the apron then the floor. Zayn went to the top rope but Owens caught him and hit a suplex. OWens hit a series of cannonballs in the corner. Owens went for a powerbomb but Zayn blocked and hit a springboard DDT. Zayn with a two suplexes then the Blue Thunder Bomb for 2. Zayn with a suplex into the barricade. Back in the ring, Owens hit a powerbomb out of nowhere for the win.

Winner: Owens.

Jericho was seen putting up his gear in the locker room. Reigns told him that he had car paint on his forehead. Jericho said that Reigns has been lucky his entire career and maybe tonight is his lucky night.

-Commercial Break-

There was a video package of Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks from last week. Banks cut a promo backstage about how she beat Flair last week and celebrated with Ric Flair. Banks challenged Flair to an Iron Man Match.

-Commercial Break-

—- Singles Match: Rich Swann vs. TJ Perkins.

They lock up and work over each other’s right arms. Perkins caught him with a drop kick. Perkins caught him with a shoulder block then Swann hit a drop kick. Swann hit a series of clotheslines then a drop kick for 2. Swann locked in a body lock but Perkins fought out of it. Perkins went for the knee bar but Swann fought out and hit a super kick for the win.

Winner: Swann.

-Commercial Break-

—- Singles Match: Bayley vs. Alicia Fox.

Bayley hit the Belly to Bayley finisher to win a quick match.

Winner: Bayley.

There was a backstage segment between Big Cass and Rusev. Rusev vowed to crush Cass tonight.

—- Singles Match: Mark Henry vs. Titus O’Neil

Henry ducked a punch and hit the World’s Strongest Slam for the win.

Winner: Henry.

We see a limo arrive with Amore outside the arena. Ric Flair arrives and they hug. Flair gave Amore his limo to meet up with Lana.

-Commercial Break-

They lock up then Reigns sent him into the the corner. Reigns went for a spear but Jericho caught him with a drop kick. Jericho tosses him to the floor then hit an outside dive.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Jericho in control of Reigns. He missed a big boot and Reigns hit several clotheslines. Jericho sent him to the floor but Reigns caught him with the drive by. Reigns with the samoan drop then a Superman Punch for a near fall. Reigns hit a powerbomb for 2. Jericho knocked him down and locked in the Walls of Jericho but Reigns got out of it. Owens ran down to the ring and super kicked Reigns. Jericho covered him for a near fall. Jericho started to argued with Owens and told him to get to the back then pushed him. Reigns hit the spear on Jericho for the win.

Winner: Reigns.

-Commercial Break-

We see Big Cass walk to the ring but Rusev never walked out. Cass called Amore walking to Lana’s hotel room and he denied Cass’ phone call. Lana walks out in a robe. Amore told her that it was a bad idea and Lana started crying then hugging him. Lana ripped his shirt off then demanded he take off his pants. Lana told him that he was a fool then brought in Rusev, who attacked Amore. Rusev smashed a flower vase over Amore’s head.

-Commercial Break-

—- #1 Contender’s Tag Team Match: Cesaro and Sheamus vs. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.

Cesaro and Anderson started things off. Cesaro tossed Anderson into the corner, which led to Sheamus and Gallows being tagged in. Cesaro and Sheamus knocked down their opponents outside of the ring.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Anderson and Gallows in control of Cesaro. Moments later, Cesaro fought back and got the hot tag to Sheamus, who landed a series of strikes to Anderson. Sheamus hit a rolling senton to Anderson for 2. Cesaro got the hot tag and hit Anderson with an uppercut. Cesaro clotheslines Gallows to the floor and Anderson clotheslines Cesaro to the floor. Sheamus took out Anderson and Gallows but was pushed into The New Day, who were at ringside. This match ended in a double DQ.

-Commercial Break-

Charlotte Flair walked down to the ring and said that she was a cold hearted bitch to her father, Ric Flair, last May. She showed a video of her down talking to him. She said that it was hard to see Ric celebrate with Banks last week. Flair said that no one will ever know how it feels to be Ric Flair’s daughter and all she wanted is for him to be proud of her. Last week broke her heart. She brought him down to the ring. They hugged then Charlotte slapped Ric and called him a son of a bitch. Banks ran down to the ring and Charlotte beat her down as Ric looked on to close the show.
