WWE Monday Night RAW 3/6/17 results: The Undertaker attacks Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe vs. Chris Jericho

Welcome to WWE Monday Night RAW. We get a recap video package from Fastlane and Goldberg winning the WWE Universal Championship. Chris Jericho walked down to the ring to open the show. He gets a pop by mentioning Chicago and said that he screwed Kevin Owens out of the WWE Universal Title. He said that Owens had it coming because he betrayed him three weeks ago. He said that he is hurt and confused. He wants to know why Owens would do that and called out Owens, who walked out. Owens said that he won’t give Jericho what he wants to know after last night. Jericho told him to answer the question. Owens said that he did what he did because Jericho was never his best friend. He said that Sami Zayn used to be his best friend and he stabbed him in the back. He said that Jericho was just a tool and he used him. Owens recalled Triple H telling him to do anything to kept the WWE Title. He needed someone to watch his back and be gullible and that Jericho was a perfect tool until he lived out his time when he accepted a match for Owens to face Goldberg. He said that he would’ve beaten Goldberg if it weren’t for Jericho. Owens said that he spared Jericho a few week’s ago because he is a good person. He said that making Jericho walk away was the biggest mistake of his life and the biggest mistake that Jericho made was costing him his title. Jericho disagreed and thought his biggest mistake was being friends with him. Jericho said a few years ago he wouldn’t have turned on Owens, but he has changed. Jericho said that he has a lot of friends tonight. Jericho challenged him to a match at WrestleMania 33. Owens said that he would get his rematch for the Universal Title anytime he wants but now wants to take the US Title away from Jericho and agreed to the match. Jericho challenged him to a fight right now but Owens ran down, and they start brawling. Samoa Joe ran out and helped Owens beat down Jericho. Sami Zayn ran down to make the save.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens

Zayn and Owens start off the match by brawling. Zayn drop kicked him out of the ring and hit an outside of the ring. Back in the ring, Owens hit a pop-up powerbomb then a neck breaker. Owens hit another powerbomb for the win.

Winner: Owens.

-Commercial Break-

A video package to hype the return of Austin Aries is shown.

Cruiserweight Championship Match: Neville © vs. Rich Swann.

They brawl to begin the match then Swan sends him to the floor to cut to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Swann making his comeback. Swann missed a phoenix splash, and Neville rolled him up for 2 then locked in his submission finisher for the win.

Winner: Neville.

Post-match, Austin Aries interviewed Neville. Neville, he said that there is nobody on his level on 205 Live. Aries questioned that, and the fans started chanting for Aries. Neville said that Aries cannot seriously be suggesting himself and that he is nowhere near his level. Neville told him to get back to the announce table. Aries said he is just trying to do his job and kept selling that Neville spat when he spoke. Throwback to DX in 1997. Aries laid out Neville with the microphone then a forearm strike.

We see Big Cass and Enzo Amore walking up to Cesaro and Sheamus backstage. Sheamus said that Cass and Amore choked last night. Cass vowed to win the RAW Tag Team Titles tonight.

-Commercial Break-

Goldberg walked out to the ring. He cut a promo about how he couldn’t have done this without the fans and is very humble to be the champion. The fans chanted for CM Punk. This led to Paul Heyman walking out. Heyman refused to congratulate Goldberg for the big win. Heyman said that he didn’t come here tonight alone and introduced Brock Lesnar, who walked out. Goldberg and Lesnar have a staredown. Heyman introduced each other for some reason. Heyman said that Lesnar wanted to congratulate him for winning the Universal Title and for beating Owens. Heyman said that Goldberg has proven that he is equal to Lesnar and has proven to be a conquered. Heyman said that at WrestleMania 33 there would only be a winner and one will be a loser. Heyman said that this a spoiler, which is Lesnar beating Goldberg at WrestleMania 33. Lesnar extends his hand, but Goldberg refuses to shake it. Heyman said that people would say that Goldberg is Lesnar’s bitch then Lesnar hit an F-5 to Goldberg. Lesnar and Heyman left the ring while Goldberg recovered in the ring.

RAW Tag Team Championship Match: Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows © vs. Big Cass & Enzo Amore.

Cass and Anderson started things off. They start brawling to begin the match. Cass hit a knee strike to him. This led Cesaro and Sheamus walked down to the ring to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Gallows in control of Amore. Moments later, Amore fought back and got the hot tag to Big Cass, who hit a splash then a slam to Anderson. Cass with an elbow drop for 2 as Gallows broke it up. Amore sent Gallows to the floor and hit an outside dive. Amore bumped into Cesaro, and a huge brawl broke out. Sheamus and Cesaro laid out Amore and Cass. They stood tall in the ring.

A video package for Rick Rude going into the WWE Hall of Fame was shown.

-Commercial Break-

Amore & Cass were arguing Sheamus & Cesaro. Mick Foley booked a tag team match between the two teams for next week with the winners facing Anderson & Gallows at WrestleMania 33.

Singles Match: Akira Tozawa vs. Ariya Davari.

Tozawa hit a series of kicks that sent Davari to the floor and hit an outside dive. Tozawa hit his suplex finisher for the win.

Winner: Tozawa.

Tozawa challenges Brian Kendrick to the ring. Kendrick walked out and said that he couldn’t promise that he would give him an answer to a fight until tomorrow’s 205 Live. He said that he should be careful about what he wishes for.

-Commercial Break-

The New Day walked out to the ring with their ice cream cart.

Singles Match: Shining Stars vs. The New Day.

Shining Stars get the early advantage until Big E took them out. Woods hit an outside dive to Primo and New Day hit their tag team finisher for the win.

Winners: New Day.

-Commercial Break-

Foley introduced Bayley, who walked out to the ring. Bayley told Sasha Banks to stay out of her match with Charlotte Flair at Fastlane but didn’t, and she wishes that she could call herself a champion. She brought up Lita introducing the Women’s Title, and she reflected on that moment and wanting to be on the WrestleMania 33 card. She said that she doesn’t feel good about being champion. Foley tried to cheer her up and asked who her opponent would be at the event. Banks walked down to the ring and said that she knows an opponent. She said that they’ve always talked about wrestling at WrestleMania. She challenges Bayley to a match. Foley liked the idea. Charlotte Flair and Dana Brooke walked out. Flair said that Banks knew she wouldn’t get another title match. She said that she was robbed at Fastlane and Banks used Bayley to get a title match. Stephanie McMahon walked out and said that fans here tonight are like CM Punk….losers. McMahon said that Banks doesn’t deserve a title shot but rather Flair does. McMahon booked Flair vs. Bayley at WrestleMania 33. Foley said that Banks deserves the title match. He booked Flair vs. Banks for next week in a #1 contender’s match. McMahon topped him by booking Banks vs. Bayley right now, and if Banks wins then, she is added to Bayley vs. Flair at WrestleMania 33, which would make it a triple threat match.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley.

They lock up, and Banks worked over the left arm of Bayley. Bayley hit a scoop slam for 2. Banks with a shoulder tackle and a series of hip tosses. Banks with an arm drag but Bayley fought back and hit a head scissors. Banks hit a clothesline

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Banks in control of Bayley and rolled her up several times only to get a two count. Bayley took out Banks’ knee and then missed a top rope dive. Banks locked in the cross face for the win.

Winner: Banks.

Bayley vs. Flair vs. Banks for the RAW Women’s Title is now set for WrestleMania. Post-match, Flair laid out Banks and Bayley.

-Commercial Break-

Roman Reigns was interviewed backstage and he said that he’ll see Braun Strowman in the ring later tonight.

A video recapping Seth Rollins’ rehabbing was showing. Triple H was interviewed via satellite. Triple H praises WWE for getting the best doctors for the Superstars. Triple H hopes Rollins listens to the doctors and them telling him not to be a WrestleMania 33. He said that Rollins is not the man of the WWE but in fact he is a liar. He said that no one else will call him that because no one believes that. He said that if Rollins shows up it will be a nightmare.

Singles Match: Samoa Joe vs. Chris Jericho.

They start brawling to start the match. Joe hit a series of kicks then a back splash. Jericho fought back and sent Joe to the floor. Joe locked in the rear-naked choke and Jericho was counted out.

Winner: Jericho.

Post-match, Joe furthers the beatdown but Jericho fought back and hit the codebreaker.

-Commercial Break-

Strowman walked down to the ring and called out Reigns. He doesn’t want a match but rather a fight. Reigns music hits but then is interrupted and The Undertaker walks out instead. As Taker got into the ring and had a staredown with Strowman, Strowman left the ring. This led to him walking through the crowd and Reigns walking out to a rain of boos.Reigns and Taker have a staredown. Reigns said that Strowman wasn’t calling out Taker but rather him. He said that this is his yard now. Taker glanced up at the WrestleMania sign and so did Reigns as the fans chant Roman sucks. Taker chokeslams Reigns, which got a huge pop. Taker walks to the back to end the show.
