WWE Monday Night RAW 4/24/17 results: Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz, dumpster match

Welcome to WWE Monday Night RAW, there is a recap video of last week’s episode of RAW. Chris Jericho walks down to the ring to open the show. This is a Highlight Reel segment. He said that this is the last Highlight Reel that the fans will see on RAW as he will beat Kevin Owens for the US Title at Payback and go to SmackDown Live. He said that the fans have always supported him and told them to cheer him on, which they did. He said that he is the guest of Jericho. He vowed to get his payback on Owens this Sunday. This led to Maryse and The Miz walking to the ring. Jericho told them to watch it. Miz informed him that the Highlight Reel had been canceled and replaced by Miz TV. The crew brought all of the Miz TV stuff into the ring. This led to Dean Ambrose walking down to the ring and saying that Miz is a stupid idiot. Ambrose said that they would fix this whole thing and told the crew to bring his Ambrose Asylum set into the ring. He said that he and Jericho have history together. Jericho told him that he still owes him $15,000 for the jacket Ambrose destroyed. Ambrose couldn’t pay him but gave him a gift, which was a light up jacket. Miz said no, but Jericho did anyway. Ambrose hit a DDT to Miz. Jericho put Miz on The List, which finally ended this segment.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Sheamus vs. Matt Hardy

They lock up to begin the match. Hardy hit a shoulder block then three leg drops for 2. Hardy knocked him to the apron and hit a Side Effect to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Sheamus in control of Hardy by having him in a headlock. Sheamus hit him with clubbing strikes on the apron then went to the top rope and hit a big right hand for 2. Sheamus missed a spear and ate the ring post, which set up Hardy hitting a DDT off the middle rope. Hardy hit a clothesline then a bulldog followed by an elbow drop off the middle rope. Sheamus sent to him to the floor and shoved Jeff Hardy. Back in the ring, Matt hit the Twist of Fate to Sheamus as Jeff and Cesaro argued at ringside.

Winners: Matt Hardy.

Post-match, Sheamus wanted to shake hands with Matt, and Matt did. Sheamus and Cesaro raised the hands of The Hardy Boyz.

We see Kurt Angle on the phone hyping Kalisto vs. Strowman tonight. The Miz and Maryse walked in. Miz said he has been waiting for two minutes. That’s not a typo. Miz was upset with Ambrose. Angle said that if Miz has an issue with Ambrose then handle it in the ring. Angle told Miz to find a partner to face Jericho and Ambrose tonight.

-Commercial Break-

Tag Team Match: Neville and TJ Perkins vs. Jack Gallagher and Austin Aries.

They start brawling to begin the match. They send Neville and Perkins to the floor to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Neville and Perkins in control of Gallagher. Moments later, Gallagher fought back and got the hot tag to Aries, who hit a series of strikes to Neville and Perkins. Aries with an elbow drop to Perkins. Aries locked in the Last Chancer on Perkins for the win.

Winners: Gallagher and Aries.

-Commercial Break-

Strowman walked down to the ring and said that the fans are trash. He said that he would stuff all of the fans in the dumpster when he puts Kalisto there. We see Angle giving Kalisto a pep talk.

Dumpster Match: Braun Strowman vs. Kalisto

Strowman tossed him around and caught him and launched him across the ring. Strowman almost put him in the dumpster, but Kalisto landed a kick. Stroman beat him down in the ring. Strowman tossed him to the apron and lifted him up, but Kalisto drop kicked Strowman into the dumpster.

Winner: Strowman.

Post-match, Strowman beatdown Kalisto. He placed Kalisto in the dumpster and pushed it up to the stage. He then pushed it off the stage.

-Commercial Break-

We see Kalisto being placed in an ambulance.

There was a video package to hype the Roman Reigns.

Bray Wyatt cuts a backstage promo to hype his upcoming match with Randy Orton at Sunday’s Payback PPV event.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Alicia Fox vs. Dana Brooke.

Fox knocked her down and worked over Brooke’s left arm as Emma walked down to the ring. Brooke fought back and hit her finisher for the win.

Brooke and Emma celebrated in the ring. Emma hugged her.

Samoa Joe and Gallows and Anderson cut a promo to hype their six-man tag team match against Seth Rollins and Enzo Amore and Big Cass tonight. They vowed to punish them.

-Commercial Break-

As Amore and Cass made their entrance, Gallows and Anderson attacked them. Angle walked out and announced that Finn Balor would replace Amore in the match.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: Samoa Joe, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows vs. Big Cass, Finn Balor, and Seth Rollins.

A brawl breaks out to begin the match. Big Cass and Gallows started out the match. Balor was quickly tagged in, and Gallows hit a back elbow. Joe was tagged in, and they exchanged right hands. Joe caught him with a spinning kick in the corner. The heels beat down Balor until Balor avoided a leg drop by Gallows. Rollins got the hot tag and hit an over castle to Anderson. Rollins hit a splash in the corner and the sling blade. Big Cass hit Gallows with a big boot. Anderson was sent to the floor, and Rollins hit Anderson and Joe with an outside dive. Joe attacked the bad knee of Rollins and Balor took out Joe. Rollins hit a knee strike to Anderson for the win.

Winners: Big Cass, Finn Balor, and Seth Rollins.

-Commercial Break-

Alexa Bliss cut a promo about how she didn’t come to RAW to talk but rather to win. She brings up how everyone talks about achieving their dreams, which makes her sick. She vowed to beat Bayley to become the new RAW Women’s Champion. Bayley walked out and said that everyone is trying to take the title from her. She said that she would do everything she can to walk out as champion at Payback. Bliss is happy that Payback is being held in Bayley’s hometown. She said that Bayley is a child and asked if Bayley kissed a boy. Bliss apologized for asking that and that she knows the answer. Bliss said that Bayley’s cinderella story ends at Payback. This led to Sasha Banks walking out and told Bliss was a troll. She said that Bliss doesn’t own this place and that the champion does. Banks said that Bayley would shut up Bliss. Banks said that she would shut her up right now. Bliss said that she would get the match canceled and Banks hit her.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss.

Bliss knocks her down, but Bliss fired back with a clothesline. Banks sent her into the corner and hit a knee drop for 2. Bliss tripped her and kicked her. Banks locked in the Bank Statement but Bliss rolled out of the ring. Bliss walked up the stage and got counted out. Bliss attacked Bayley from behind then ran to the back as Banks checked on Bayley.

Winner: Banks.

We see Jericho and Ambrose going over strategy. Ambrose asked him to take him off The List. Jericho said he doesn’t remove anyone from The List. Jericho still wants his $15,000 and reminded him that Ambrose powerbomb him onto thumbtacks. Jericho took him off The List. Ambrose got fired up and hit him on the back twice. Jericho added Ambrose back to The List.

-Commercial Break-

Miz tried to get Heath Slater and Curtis Axel to be his tag team partner. Miz got a note informing him who his tag team partner would be.

Curt Hawkins is in the ring and issues an open challenge. Apollo Crews accepted the challenge.

Singles Match: Apollo Crews vs. Curt Hawkins.

Crews made short work of Hawkins. Crews won the match with his finisher.

Winner: Crews.

-Commercial Break-

A video package to hype the Reigns - Strowman feud was shown.

We see Aries talking with Angle backstage. Miz walked up and said that he found a tag team partner for tonight. We see Elias Samson walk by playing his guitar.

-Commercial Break-

The Miz introduces his tag team partner but no one walked out. Miz wanted this match canceled. Angle walked out and booked a handicap match.

Handicap Match: Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz

Ambrose clotheslines him out of the ring and we cut to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Jericho hitting a double axe to Miz. Ambrose got the hot tag and Miz sent him to the floor. Miz drove him into the apron and hit a big boot in the ring. Miz locked in a chin lock. Moments later, Ambrose fought back and got the hot tag to Jericho, who hit a series of strikes to Miz. Jericho with the lionsault then went for the Code Breaker but Miz blocked it. Jericho dropkicked him out of the ring. Miz attempted to walk to the back but Ambrose stopped him. The lights went out and then back on with Wyatt attacking Ambrose. Wyatt hit Sister Abigail to Ambrose on the stage. Jericho and Wyatt brawl until Miz attacked Jericho from behind. The match ends via double countout. Jericho hit the Code Breaker to Miz but Wyatt knocked down Jericho and hit Sister Abigail. Wyatt and Miz stood together. Wyatt hit Sister Abigail to Miz. Wyatt stood tall to end the segment.
