WWE Monday Night RAW 4/3/17 results: Balor & Rollins vs. Joe & Owens, Hardy Boyz defend Tag Team Championships

Welcome to WWE Monday Night RAW, there is a recap video of Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 shown. We get a live shot of inside the arena with the fans chanting “Undertaker” and “Roman” sucks. Reigns walked out to the ring and got booed out of the building. The fans started flipping him off and chanting “f**k you Roman,” “you suck,” “a**hole,” “delete,” “shut the f** k up.” So many chants. Reigns said that this is his yard now then walked to the back. It took fourteen minutes for him to say that. The announcers explained the chants as expressive.

-Commercial Break-

RAW Tag Team Championship Match: The Hardy Boyz (c) vs. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.

Jeff and Anderson started things off. Jeff with a shoulder block then he worked over the left arm of Anderson. Matt was tagged in, and they hit a back elbow. Matt sent him head first into the turnbuckle multiple times. Matt hit the side effect for 2. Matt went for the Twist of Fate but Anderson blocked, and Matt sent him to the floor. They clothesline Gallows to the floor.

-Commercial Break-

Jeff and Anderson started things off. Jeff with a shoulder block then he worked over the left arm of Anderson. Matt was tagged in, and they hit a back elbow. Matt sent him head first into the turnbuckle multiple times. Matt hit the side effect for 2. Matt went for the Twist of Fate but Anderson blocked, and Matt sent him to the floor. -Commercial Break-

We’re back with Gallows in control of Matt. They hit a double suplex for 2. Moments later, Matt fought back and got the hot tag to Jeff. The fans started chanting “fuck that owl.” Jeff hit a series of strikes to Gallows then hit poetry in motion off of the steel steps. Jeff went to the top rope, but Gallows knocked him down. They hit a double team move for 2. Jeff hit Twist of Fate to Gallows then tagged in Matt, who hit Twist of Fate and Jeff hit a Swanton Bomb for the win.

Winners: The Hardy Boyz

Rollins & Jericho vs. Joe & Owens was announced for later in the show.

-Commercial Break-

Neville said that the fans might not like him but has to respect him. He said that he would have a celebration on 205 Live. This led to Mustafa Ali walking out for a match.

Singles Match: Mustafa Ali vs. Neville.

They start brawling to begin the match. Neville dumped him to the floor to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Neville in the ring. The fans started bouncing a volleyball in the air. Neville hit him with a big boot for 2. Ali with a suplex then a big DDT for 2. Ali missed a 450 splash then Neville locked in his submission hold for the win.

Winner: Neville.

We see a limo roll up with Vince McMahon getting out.

-Commercial Break-

Vince McMahon walked out to the ring. He thanked the fans for being the most passionate fans in the world and helping WWE delivering the ultimate thrill ride. McMahon announced that it is time to shake things up and will do so next week. He showed footage of Seth Rollins kicked Triple H into Stephanie McMahon that sent her going through a table. McMahon said that Stephanie would be out of action for some time and that she was almost broken in half. He thought that fans were insensitive and cruel. McMahon said with RAW having no GM or an active commissioner, it’s time to name a new RAW GM. He said that this person was just inducted into the Hall of Fame… Teddy Long walked out. McMahon told Teddy to stop dancing and that it’s not him. Long said my bad and holla holla. McMahon then introduced Kurt Angle as the new RAW GM. McMahon gave Angle the microphone and walked to the back. The fans popped huge for this as expected. Angle said that it’s good to be RAW GM. He then walked to the back.

-Commercial Break-

The New Day walked out to the ring. They talked about WrestleMania 33 and issued an open challenge. The Revival walked out, which got a huge pop. The Revival pushed down New Day’s cart.

Tag Team Match: The New Day vs. The Revival.

Woods and Dawson started things off. Dawson landed a series of right hands then Wilder hit a series of uppercuts. Dawson was tagged in and hit an arm breaker to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Wilder in control of Woods. Woods landed a series of right hands then a drop kick off the top rope. Dawson got the hot tag, and so did Big E, who hit three suplexes. Big E clotheslines Wilder to the floor. Big E sent Dawson to the apron and missed a spear. Woods was tagged in and sent Wilder to the rope. Woods with a series of chops but Wilder cut him off, and The Revival hit their finisher for the win.

Winners: The Revival.

Post-match, The Revival beat down Woods and stood tall in the ring.

We see Angle getting his stuff set up in his office. Enzo Amore and Big Cass walked in. They introduced themselves. He brought up his weekend and said he is doing good and asked them. Amore said that he is a G and has gold around his neck but not around their waist. They want to know why The Hardy Boyz are back and champions. Angle booked them in a match tonight against Sheamus and Cesaro. Winners of the match are gonna be new #1 Contenders for the titles.

Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Sasha Banks, Bayley and Dana Brooke vs. Emma, Charlotte Flair, and Nia Jax.

Emma and Brooke started things off. Emma tossed her around.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Jax in control of Bayley. Flair was tagged in and landed a series of strikes. Moments later, Bayley fought back and got the hot tag to Banks, who hit a head scissors then a knee strike for 2. Brooke took out Emma with a slam and a drop kick to Jax. Flair with Natural Selection to Banks but Banks reversed and locked in her submission finisher for the win.

Winners: Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Dana Brooke

We see Sami Zayn and Angle talking backstage. Zayn wants the same relationship that he had with Mick Foley with Angle. Angle praised him and said that he would be fine in his career. Zayn thanked him and told him not to Stephanie. Jinder Mahal walked in and complained about Mojo Rawley winning the battle royal at WrestleMania 33. Zayn and Mahal start arguing. Angle booked them in a match tonight.

-Commercial Break-

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar walked down to the ring. Heyman said that he would tell a story that Lesnar tells his own kids. Heyman said that a superhero took his spear and jack hammer into town. His name was Goldberg and was known as the baddest dude in the village. He said that once Goldberg took everything (Universal Title) from the village but when he went through south suplex city then the superhero got his a** beat by the beast. Heyman said that the good feel to their story is that we won’t be seeing Goldberg around here anymore. Heyman thanked Lesnar. Heyman said that Lesnar is looking for new challenges and challengers. Heyman pitched Rollins vs. Lesnar, Matt Hardy vs. Lesnar, Jeff Hardy vs. Lesnar. He said that Lesnar wouldn’t be a champion who is lucky to have it, but Lesnar is a champion who disrupts the status quo. He brought up Roman Reigns and how they should go one-on-one. He wants to see who really owns the yard. Heyman said that Reigns is talking big backstage. The fans chanting for Finn Balor. Heyman said that Reigns isn’t the big dog and Lesnar is animal cruelty. Heyman wants to deliver something special tonight. This led to Braun Strowman walking out and having a staredown with Lesnar. Strowman said that Reigns has Lesnar’s attention but when he is done with Reigns then maybe he will have Lesnar’s attention. He pushed Lesnar and said that Lesnar has his attention. Lesnar laid down the title and told him to bring it on. Strowman walked to the back as the fans chanted BS.

Chris Jericho was interviewed about his tag team match tonight. Jericho will get his rematch with Owens at Payback. Jericho said that this is his crowd and listed a bunch of countries. Jericho said that he had Owens beat by the top of his finger. He added Owens’ top finger on the list. Owens attacked Jericho. Samoa Joe walked up and beat Jericho down. Owens powerbomb Jericho through a table.

-Commercial Break-

We see Angle coming out of the trainer’s room and walked into Seth Rollins. Angle said that Jericho couldn’t wrestle tonight but the match is still on for tonight and that he would fine him a partner.

#1 Contender’s Match: Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Sheamus & Cesaro.

Enzo Amore and worked over Sheamus to begin the match. He hit an outside dive to his opponents.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Sheamus in control of Amore. Moments later, Amore fought back and hit a DDT. Cesaro was tagged in and hit the giant swing to Amore. Big Cass got the hot tag and hit a series of strikes and a big elbow to Sheamus. Cesaro and Amore got tagged in, which led to Cesaro hitting his finisher for the win.

Winners: Sheamus & Cesaro.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs. Jinder Mahal.

Mahal attacked Zayn as he was making his entrance. The matches started, and Mahal landed a series of kicks. Zayn fought back and hit a big boot for the win.

Winner: Zayn.

-Commercial Break-

It was announced that Finn Balor would be Rollins partner. Balor walked out to a huge pop.

Tag Team Match: Finn Balor & Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe & Kevin Owens.

Owens and Rollins start things off. They locked up then Rollins kicked him in the face and tagged in Balor, who chased Owens around at ringside and hit a drop kick. Rollins was tagged in and hit an outside dive. Rollins then hit a dive to Joe. Rollins sold his knee. Owens kicked it and hit a DDT. Owens was tagged in and worked over Rollins in the corner. Moments later, Balor got the hot tag and hit a series of strikes to Owens. Rollins took out Joe and Balor hit a drop kick to Owens. Balor hit his stomp finisher off the top rope for the win.

Winners: Joe and Rollins.

Balor and Rollins celebrated in the ring to close the show.
