WWE Monday Night RAW 5/29/17 results: Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns, triple threat match

Welcome to WWE Monday Night RAW. There was a Memorial Day video shown. The announcers hyped the two main events of tonight’s show. The Miz and Maryse walked down to the ring for the opening segment. They hosted Miz TV. Miz brought up how Dean Ambrose is a thief and how at Extreme Rules, he will win the Intercontinental Title even if Ambrose gets DQ. Miz showed footage of him attacking Ambrose last week. He introduced his guests, which are Cesaro and Sheamus. Miz brought up how The Hardy Boyz stole their spotlight at WrestleMania 33. Sheamus said that the fans turned their backs on Cesaro when The Hardy Boyz returned. Miz said that the IC Title needs to be saved and he would be champion at Extreme Rules. This led to Ambrose walking out. Ambrose wanted a fight and Miz pointed out that there was three of them. Ambrose said he is crazy but not stupid. This led to The Hardy Boyz walking out and a brawl broke out. The Hardy Boyz and Ambrose stood tall.

-Commercial Break-

Six-Man Tag Team Match: Cesaro, The Miz, and Sheamus vs. The Hardy Boyz and Dean Ambrose

We’re back with the match in progress and the faces working over Cesaro’s left shoulder. Matt knocked Sheamus off the apron and Cesaro hit him with an uppercut. Miz put the boots to him in the corner. Moments later, Ambrose got the hot tag and hit a series of moves to Cesaro. Ambrose hit an outside dive to Miz and went for Dirt Deeds on Cesaro, who blocked it. Ambrose with a knee strike but Sheamus was tagged in and Ambrose clotheslines him to the floor. Jeff hit a drop kick to Cesaro and Ambrose rolled up Sheamus for 2. Ambrose with a neck breaker then went to the top rope but Sheamus hit him with a high knee strike.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Miz in control of Ambrose. Miz tagged in Cesaro, who missed an uppercut and flew out of the ring. Ambrose for a hot tag but Miz knocked The Hardy Boyz down. Cesaro and Sheamus hit a double tag team move to Ambrose. Sheamus went for a move off the top rope but Ambrose knocked him down and hit an elbow drop. Ambrose hit a clothesline to Cesaro and got a tag to Jeff, who hit a series of right hands on Miz. Matt got the tag and Jeff hit a dive in the corner. Matt with the Side Effect for 2 as Sheamus broke up the pin. Cesaro hit Jeff with an uppercut and Ambrose took out Cesaro then Sheamus. Matt with Twist of Fate to Miz and Jeff hit a swanton bomb for the win.

Winners: The Hardy Boyz and Dean Ambrose

Michael Cole hyped the rest of the show when Corey Graves looked at his phone and walked off stage.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Graves bringing his phone to Angle, who read a text that said that Angle was a disgrace as RAW GM and that a person has some info that could ruin Angle.

We see Elias Samson singing in the ring.

Singles Match: Elias Samson vs. Zac Evans

Samson tossed him around the ring and then hit his finisher for the win.

Winner: Samson.

-Commercial Break-

Samoa Joe cut a backstage promo about how he will destroy Finn Balor tonight and win at Extreme Rules. Wyatt appeared on the titantron and saying that the beast is inside of Joe and the others. He told them to run.

Triple Threat Match: Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe vs. Bray Wyatt.

Wyatt ducked out of the ring early and Balor and Joe started brawling. Balor caught him with a kick then Joe tossed Wyatt into the ring. Wyatt him with a series of right hands and Balor landed a kick for 2. Joe with a headbutt and a series of knee strikes. Wyatt sent Balor to the floor but Balor got into the ring and hit him with a series of kicks. Wyatt hit him with a forearm shot. Joe sent Wyatt to the floor and put Balor on the top rope. Wyatt hit a powerbomb to Joe while Joe hit a super plex to Balor.

-Commercial Break-

Wyatt went for his finisher on Balor but Joe locked in a sleeper but Balor kicked him in the face. Balor hit an outside dive on both of them to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Joe and Wyatt in control of Balor. Moments later, Joe turned on Wyatt and hit him with a kick to the face. Balor avoided a clothesline and hit a baseball slide to Joe then a kick off the apron. Balor with a drop kick to Wyatt and Joe. Balor hit a double foot stomp to Joe in the ring then stomps to Wyatt. Joe hit a suplex to Balor. Balor knocked down Joe then hit sling blade to Wyatt. Balor hit the double foot stomp to Wyatt but Joe sent Balor into the ring post and covered Wyatt for the win.

Winner: Joe.

-Commercial Break-

Alexa Bliss walked out for a this is your life segment about Bayley. Bliss hyped her upcoming Kendo on a Stick Match at Extreme Rules. She said that to find out who Bayley is, she had to dig into her past. There was a table set up with photos, toys, and autographs from Bayley’s childhood. Bliss mocked Bayley and introduced three people, who were Bayley’s fourth-grade teacher. The teacher said that Bayley sat in the same room as her father and that she had to be close to her father or she would cry. She then introduced Bayley’s high school friend, who said that Bayley was the best friend but never wanted to go outside because she wanted to watch wrestling. Bliss mocked Bayley for wanting to be a Superstar growing up. She finally introduced Bayley’s ex-boyfriend. He said that their first date was strange because her father came with them and he almost kissed her father. He said that the only reason he dated Bayley because he wanted to get close to Bayley’s best friend. They then kissed and Booker T said that “This is hard to watch” on commentary. This led to Bayley walking out to the ring and a brawl broke out. Bliss hit Bayley with a kendo stick.

-Commercial Break-

Amore was seen on the floor being checked out by Angle, Big Cass, and referees in the backstage area. Big Cass wanted answers from Angle, who stated that The Revival left the building early.

Tag Team Match: Austin Aries & Jack Gallagher vs. Neville & TJP

Aries and TJP started things off. Aries sent him in the corner and tagged in Gallagher. TJP tagged in Neville. Gallagher hit him with a drop kick then tagged in Aries. Neville ducked out of the ring and we go to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Neville in control of Gallagher. The heels beat down Gallagher for several minutes until Aries got the hot tag and hit a series of strikes to Neville. Aries with a shin breaker then a suplex for 2. Neville with a jawbreaker and Aries with a right hand. TJP tripped Aries but Gallagher took out TJP. Aries sent Neville to the floor and hit an outside dive. Back in the ring, Aries hit the Last Chancery for the win.

Winner: Aries and Gallagher.

Reigns cut a backstage promo about how there is no man on the planet that owns him. He vowed to show Rollins and the world why he is the big dog.

-Commercial Break-

We get a recap video package of Goldust attacking R-Truth. Goldust did a backstage promo about how sometimes we snap sometimes but now he is in the director’s chair. He said that Truth knew that Goldust was too big of a star to be a supporting role and that Truth is a selfish man. Goldust said their ending won’t be happy or sad but rather golden.

We see R-Truth doing a similar promo about how he is going get Goldust and vowed to get his revenge on him.

Singles Match: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins

They lock up and Rollins hit a back moonsault for 2. Reigns fired up with a big right hand that sent Rollins to the floor. Reigns hit a drive bye to Rollins into the ring post. Rollins caught im with a kick and clotheslines him to the floor. Rollins hit an outside dive to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Reigns in control of Rollins. Reigns hit a series of clotheslines in the corner to Rollins. Rollins fought back with a sling blade. Rollins went for a springboard move but Reigns caught him with a superman punch for 2. Rollins went to the top rope but Reigns knocked him down. Reigns went for a move but Rollins blocked it and hit a powerbomb in the corner but Reigns no sold it and hit a superman punch. Reigns went for a spear but ate the ring steps instead. Rollins hit a frog splash off the top rope for 2. Reigns avoided a knee strike and hit a spear to Rollins for the win.

Winner: Reigns.

Reigns stood tall in the ring to close the show.
