WWE Monday Night Raw 6/13/16 results: Contract signing, Ambrose vs. Jericho

Welcome to the WWE Raw pre-show, and we are live on the WWE Network. Scott Stanford, Booker T, Corey Graves, and David Otunga hype what we will see tonight, which is the Ambrose Asylum segment with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Also, John Cena and AJ Styles will have their contract signing on RAW.  

There is a recap video of last week’s episode of Raw. New Day, Enzo Amore, and Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and The Vaudevillains in an eight-man tag match announced for Raw. Also, a former SmackDown GM will appear on RAW. Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn is taking place as well. 

Welcome to WWE Monday Night Raw. There was a moment of silence for the Orlando shooting victims. Graphics are shown for some of the matches and segment taking place on the show. The New Day walk down to the ring to kick things off. Kofi shows off his new Jordan shoes. Big E vowed to retain the Tag Team Titles at MITB. Enzo Amore and Big Cass walked out. Big Cass mocked Kofi for his new shoes and then talked about Franchesca 2 (the trombone). Big Cass said that the trombone was with Amore and Amore had his lips all over her. Amore said that the trombone isn’t a saint. Amore and Woods had a staredown then Kofi hyped a verbal joust between them. The Vaudevillians walked out and told the children in the ring to shut up. The Club walked out and told them that play time is over. The Club said that there will only be one team standing tall with the titles, and it’s going to be them.

-Commercial Break-

Eight-Man Tag Team Match: New Day, Enzo Amore, and Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and The Vaudevillains.

The New Day got the early offense until Gallows hit a power slam to Amore. Anderson was tagged in and put the boots to him. English was tagged in and landed a series of knee drops. Amore hit a side slam to English then sent English to the floor. Amore got the hot tag to Big Cass, who hit a slam to English. Big E took out Gallows while Big Cass hit a fallaway slam to English. Big Cass with a splash in the corner but missed the big boot when English rolled to the floor. Kofi got the hot tag and hit an outside dive taking out English.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Big E hitting a back elbow to Gotch. Gotch backed him into the corner, and Anderson put the boots to him. Moments later, Big E fought back, and Kofi was tagged in. Kofi hit a series of moves to Anderson. He caught Anderson with a head kick and hit a crossbody for 2. Gotch sent Amore to the floor, Big Cass sent him to the floor with a big boot. English drop kicks Cass to the floor. Big E hit a suplex to English on the floor. Gallows hit him with a big boot. Gallows was tagged in, and The Club hit their tag team finisher for the win.

Winners: Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and The Vaudevillains

-Commercial Break-

Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon are shown talking backstage. Shane told Stephanie that she can have SmackDown or RAW, but she wants both. Shane said that happened and she drove both shows into the ground. Kane in his corporate suit showed up. Kane said that they were having one hell of a fight. Kane said that he should be the SmackDown GM and gives them his resume. Shane asked him about his ideas for SmackDown and the segment ended.

Zack Ryder is shown talking to people about how Apollo Crews has dropped Sheamus in the past. Sheamus said that wasn’t funny but vowed to hurt Ryder tonight and Crews at MITB.

-Commercial Break-

Titus O’Neil was making his entrance when Rusev attacked him from behind and tossed him into the stage several times.

Dean Ambrose walks down to the ring and hypes Sunday’s MITB PPV. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns then walked down to the ring. Ambrose asked Rollins about how his knee is doing. Rollins said that his knee was 100% ready to go. Ambrose asked if his face hurt because it was killing him. Ambrose told Rollins to relax because they’re on a talk show. Ambrose said that they used to have so much fun in the ring and not to be a party pooper. Rollins brought up WrestleMania 30 and flying in on a helicopter. Rollins brought up a lot of memories they had together. Rollins said the most fun he had in the ring was in The Shield. Rollins bragged about sending Batista to Hollywood. Rollins brought up breaking up The Shield and regaining his WWE Title at MITB. Ambrose asked if he wasn’t going to need help. Reigns said that Rollins screwed him at WM on his own, The Shield on his own. Reigns said that Rollins broke up a brotherhood and the only guys that had his back. Reigns told Rollins that he will have his spotlight this Sunday, and he will be the guy after he beats Rollins. Ambrose said he will win the MITB briefcase and would face one of them. A brawl broke out and Reigns Superman Punched Rollins. Ambrose hit the Dirty Deeds to Reigns. Ambrose stood tall in the ring.

-Commercial Break-

Stephanie booked Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho for later in the show.

Singles Match: Paige vs. Charlotte with Natalya and Becky Lynch on commentary.

Charlotte knocked her down, but Paige rolled her up for 2. They exchanged chops until Paige caught her with a kick for 2. Paige sent Charlotte to the floor. Brooke threw Charlotte into the ring where Paige kicked her and hit a DDT for the win.

Winner: Paige.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Sheamus vs. Zack Ryder

Ryder sent Sheamus to the floor and then hit a drop kick off the apron. Back in the ring, Ryder hit a big boot and a running knee. Ryder hit an elbow drop for 2. Sheamus fought back and hit the Brogue Kick for the win.

Winner: Sheamus.

Post-match, Sheamus attacked Ryder until Apollo Crews ran down and made the save.

-Commercial Break-

Kevin Owens asked Shane backstage where Stephanie was. Owens told Shane that Alberto Del Rio just showed up, and something should be done about that. Owens asked if Del Rio could be rumored from the MITB match. Del Rio walked in and said that he knew it was Owens who did it. Kane thinks Del Rio and Owens should face The Lucha Dragons tonight. If the Dragons win, then they replace Owens and Del Rio in the MITB match. Shane approved.

Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro.

They lock up and Cesaro hit a backbreaker for 2. Zayn fought back with some kicks and hit a powerbomb for 2. Zayn went to the top rope but Cesaro knocked him down. Cesaro hit a suplex off the top rope for 2. Zayn fought back and rolled him up for the win.

Winner: Zayn.

-Commercial Break-

John Cena walks out for their contract signing. Cena cuts a promo about his match with AJ Styles at MITB and how WWE is his home. Cena said that WWE told Styles for years that he doesn’t belong here. Cena said that he respects Styles for keeping do his thing from PWG, ROH and NJPW. Cena said that he has won 15 World Titles while Styles has won more than he has. Styles belongs in WWE after all of these years. Cena said finally they will meet at MITB and that this contract signing is special. Cena told Michael Cole to get out of the ring. Cena called out Styles and Styles walked out. Styles said that he will run circles around him at MITB because Cena can’t beat him. Cena said that there are two contracts in front of him. One is for a singles match and one is for the Club to be a part of the match. Cena said that if signs the one with The Club involved and be a bitch or he could sign the singles match contract and have a wrestling match. Cena said that if gets The Club involved then he will send Styles back to Japan to go and get his balls back. Styles signed the singles match contract and so do Cena. Styles said that he is not just like every other indy guy and told Cena that his time is up and that his time is now.

-Commercial Break-

Tag Team Match: Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio vs. The Lucha Dragons.

Del Rio and Kalisto started things off. Del Rio landed a series of kicks and then slapped in Owens. Kalisto tossed him to the floor and hit an outside dive.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Del Rio in control of Kalisto. He tagged in Owens who hit a back splash. Del Rio was tagged back in and Kalisto hit a reverse DDT. Owens tossed Del Rio into the ring and Cara was tagged in. Cara hit a front senton for 2 on Del Rio. Owens tagged himself and Cara hit him with a crossbody followed by a back elbow. Cara with knocked Del Rio off the apron. Del Rio sent Kalisto into the barricade. Cara pushed Owens into Del Rio and rolled up Owens for 2. Owens fought back and hit the powerbomb for the win.

Winners: Owens and Del Rio.

Post-match, Del Rio hit Owens with a super kick.

-Commercial Break-

Owens is shown talking with Stephanie backstage. Owens complained to her about Shane’s booking decisions. Owens told her that Zayn will be on commentary for the Ambrose – Jericho match. Owens asked her if he could be on commentary too. She approves. Del Rio demanded that he be out there too. She said he could be the timekeeper.

The McMahons told Kane that he would not be getting the SmackDown GM position. Shane told Stephanie that she is not fit to run SmackDown.

Singles Match: Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho.

They brawl to start the match. Ambrose tossed him to the floor and hit an outside dive. Jericho knocked him down from behind. Back in the ring, Jericho went for the Walls but Ambrose blocked it. Jericho sent him to the apron and hit a springboard drop kick.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Jericho in control of Ambrose. Moments later, Ambrose fought back and hit a big boot. Ambrose hit an elbow drop for 2. Ambrose went for the Walls of Jericho but Jericho blocked. Jericho went for a double ax but Ambrose blocked it and hit Dirty Deeds for the win.

Winner: Ambrose.

A brawl broke out between Ambrose, Owens, Del Rio, Zayn, Cesaro and Jericho. Zayn took them out all out with a dive. Jericho recovered, climb a ladder in the ring and grabbed the MITB briefcase and sat on the ladder to close the show.
