Welcome to WWE Monday Night RAW. There is a recap video of Samoa Joe winning at Extreme Rules. Bray Wyatt walks down to the ring and cuts a promo about how he had a chance to slay the beast at Extreme Rules. He said that they took it from him but he is still here and alive. He said that he still every bit of the god that he has always been and to cast judgment on Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns. They are all guilty. Reigns walked out for the match. Reigns said that he is the guy and then punched him.
Singles Match: Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt
Wyatt went for Sister Abigail but Reigns blocked it and hit a big right hand that sent Wyatt to the floor.
We’re back with Wyatt in control of Reigns after he hit a shoulder block. Moments later, Reigns fought back with a series of strikes. Wyatt knocked him down and sent him into the ring post.
We’re back with Wyatt having Reigns in a headlock but Reigns fought out of it. Reigns missed the Superman Punch and Wyatt hit him with a powerslam. Wyatt placed him on the top rope and landed some headbutts. Reigns hit a powerbomb for 2. Reigns connected with a Superman Punch for 2. Wyatt went to the apron and Reigns missed the Drive By, which allowed Wyatt to hit a clothesline. Reigns beat the ten count back into the ring. Wyatt went for Sister Abigail but Reigns blocked it, hit a Superman Punch and a spear for the win.
Big Cass and Enzo Amore cut a backstage promo. They still don’t know who attacked Amore. Cass said that he would be watching Amore’s back at all times and that includes during their match against Gallows and Anderson.
Photos of the Alexa Bliss – Bayley match at Extreme Rules was shown. Bliss was shown talking to Kurt Angle in the back. Bliss said that she is done with Bayley and wants to celebrate her life on RAW. She pitched the idea to Angle, who thought was horrible and called her segment last one of the worst moments in RAW history. Angle brought up how she told Nia Jax would be the next in line. Angle booked Bliss vs. Jax with the RAW Women’s Title on the line.
Elias Samson sang a song about Dean Ambrose, which interrupted him and hit him with a microphone. Ambrose sent him into the barricade. Ambrose cut a promo about how he wants The Miz and a rematch for the Intercontinental Title. Miz appeared on the big screen with Maryse. Miz said that Ambrose is confused as there will not be a rematch because he is holding a celebration for his IC Title comeback tour. Samson attacked Ambrose from behind and hit a neckbreaker. Samson walked to the back.
Ambrose wants a rematch with The Miz. He demands that Angle gives it to him. Angle said that Ambrose would get his rematch but not tonight. Angle told him to take the night off and leave the arena.
Samoa joe walks down to the ring. He said that he is not afraid of Lesnar and he wants Lesnar’s schedule. He wants to come in and beat people down as he pleases. He also wants the ability to instill fear in other people and Paul Heyman as his advocate. Finally, he wants the WWE Universal Championship. He vowed to beat Lesnar and be the new Universal Championship at Great Balls of Fire. Heyman walks out and introduced himself. Heyman said that Joe is a destroyer and someone who beat four top contenders to earn a title match. Heyman said that Joe has left wreckage everywhere he has been and the #1 contender. Heyman said that Lesnar doesn’t fear Joe but what bothers him about Joe is that Joe likes the fact that he doesn’t fear Lesnar. Heyman said that he worries for a living due to Lesnar’s opponents. Heyman brought up all the people that Lesnar has beaten in the past and it doesn’t matter who they are when they get in the ring with Lesnar. Heyman said that he wanted to see Lesnar vs. Balor because that is the best case scenario for him. He put over Balor as an up and coming talent. However, with Joe, it is the worst case scenario because Joe wants to take the fight with Lesnar. Heyman said that he knows that even if Lesnar gets by Joe, Lesnar won’t be the same person. Heyman stated that it’s his job to make sure that Lesnar is the worst case scenario for Joe. Heyman said that Joe has Lesnar and they shook hands. Joe stopped him and told him that Lesnar not being here tonight is disappointing. Joe said that something bad is going to happen to him as he is going to choke him to the point where he passes out. Joe wants Heyman to tell Lesnar about it. Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch until Heyman passed out and referees broke it up.
Angle wanted answers from Joe, who told him that he would take out anyone who is in his way. Seth Rollins walked up and got in the face of Joe. Rollins said that Joe tried to end his career and that he didn’t lose to Joe at Extreme Rules. Rollins wanted a match with Joe tonight. Angle booked it.
Tag Team Match: Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Heath Slater & Rhyno
Sheamus attacked Slater right out of the gate. Sheamus hit a shoulder block then tagged in Cesaro, who mocked The Hardy Boyz and hit a double axe to him. Sheamus was tagged in but Slater knocked him down. Cesaro and Rhyno started brawling at ringside and Sheamus hit Slater with the Brogue Kick for the win.
Winners: Cesaro & Sheamus
Post-match, Cesaro and Sheamus cut a promo about how that is how a tag team wins. They asked if the fans were happy that The Hardy Boyz returned to WWE. They said that The Hardy Boyz are not happy they returned to WWE. They said that The Hardy Boyz are dreaming about their rematch but they need to think again. They said that they won in a match that The Hardy Boyz thought that they could win. They said that they are the bar.
TJP and Neville were talking backstage. TJP wants to know about their deal and Neville told him to be patient.TJP said that he held up his end of their deal and now he wants Neville to hold up his end of the deal. Neville said that he is right and if TJP gets his work done tonight then he will take care of his end of the bargain.
Singles Match: TJP vs. Mustafa Ali
They lock up and exchanged right hands until TJP pulled him down by his hair. TJP with a spring board front senton for 2. Ali briefly fought back but TJP cut him off with his finisher for the win.
Post-match, Neville said that he spoke with Angle about TJP getting a title shot. He said that he is not a miracle worker and that he has unfortunate news. TJP demanded that they talk to Angle right now. This made Neville upset and then attacked TJP.
Angle was asked backstage about his conversation with Graves. Angle walked out of the arena and Ambrose walked in. We see The Revival in the backstage area talking.
Singles Match: Kalisto vs. Titus O’Neil
O’Neil tossed him around to start off the match then hit him with a big boot. O’Neil went for a slam but Kalisto rolled him up for the win.
The Miz and Maryse were walking backstage when they noticed that Big Cass had been attacked. A referee checked on him as well as Amore. Cass didn’t know who attacked him.
We’re back with Amore still checking on Cass. Amore had a gold chain in his hand and told the referees that they have a match. A referee told Amore to find a partner.
Maryse was in the ring with a red carpet, balloons and a man dressed up as a bear. Maryse introduced The Miz, who then said he is the only person to deserve the IC Title. Miz said that he will restore the IC Title to the glory and the heights that it once new. He made a toast to himself about how the world never know when he is not the Intercontinental Champion. He said that Maryse outdid himself. Maryse told him that she did not get the bear. Miz didn’t get the bear either. They look at the bear and Miz attacked the bear and hit the Skull Crushing Finale to the bear. Poor bear. Miz ripped the head off the bear and it was some random guy. Not Ambrose. Miz tossed him to the floor and told the guy that at least he could say that he got beat up by the IC Champion. A huge box was wheeled to the ring. Miz grabbed the chair and hit it.Maryse told him to stop it and said that it was for her. In fact, it was a grandfather clock. Miz broke it and Maryse told Miz that he ruined it. Miz apologized and she ran to the back. Miz blamed Ambrose for it and was paranoid. Ambrose was dressed as a cameraman and attacked Miz by hitting Dirty Deeds.
Amore cut a promo about how he called in a favor and that favor is seven feet tall. The Big Show walked out. Amore told him to lighten up. Big Show did just that and talked like he was from New York. He called Gallows and Anderson SAWFT.
Tag Team Match: Big Show & Enzo Amore vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson.
Show tossed Gallows and Anderson around. Show hit a shoulder tackle to Anderson then hit a chokeslam to him. Show tossed Amroe onto Anderson for the win.
Winners: Big Show & Enzo Amore
We see Cass upset that Big Show decided to be Amore partner. Cass questioned if Big Show was the one who attacked him. Show denied it and Amore wanted to go out.
Bliss was interviewed backstage about facing Jax next. Bliss said that she is the goddess of WWE and is upset with how the division treats her.
RAW Women’s Title Match: Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax
Jax started throwing her around the round. She sent Bliss to the floor while James and Brooke watched on. Bliss attacked them and they fought back, which caused the DQ.
Winner: Bliss – still RAW women’s Champion.
After the match, James and Brooke attacked Bliss but Jax stopped them. Bliss caught Jax with a baseball slide and ran to the back. Jax laid out Brooke and James.
We see Heyman being checked out by a doctor. Lesnar called him and Heyman told Lesnar to instill the fear in Joe. Heyman told him to show up next week and to unleash the beast.
Singles Match: Samoa Joe vs. Seth Rollins
Joe attacked him right out of the gate with right hands. Rollins fought back with a series of chops. Joe cut him off with a headbutt. Rollins sent him to the floor and went for a dive but Joe caught him with a kick. Joe sent him into the corner and hit a splash.
We’re back from break with Joe in control of Rollins. Rollins briefly fought back but Joe cut him off with a powerslam for 2. Rollins caught him with a kick then hit an outside dive. Back in the ring, Rollins connected with the slingblade and hit another outside dive. Rollins with a crossbody for 2. Rollins connected with a kick and went to the top rope. The lights went off then on, which distracted Rollins and Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch for the win.
Joe stood over Rollins to close the show.
