WWE Monday Night Raw draws lowest viewership in history

It’s fair to say that WWE executives are probably not happy about this week’s Monday Night Raw viewership numbers.

Raw averaged 2.35 million viewers, the least-watched shows in show history. Just for comparison, the September 26, 2016 episode was watched by 2.46 million viewers but that show was up the Hillary Clinton-Donald Trump debate.

This week’s show was up against the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers but viewership numbers never drop as much as they did this week and they have to deal with the NFL every year. The Big Bang Theory, in its final season, drew 12.92 million viewers on CBS.

Here were the numbers for each hour:

8 pm – 2.49 million viewers
9 pm – 2.28 million viewers
10 pm – 2.28 million viewers

On this week’s show, WWE teased that Dean Ambrose might turn on The Shield. That tease clearly did not help them.
