WWE Monday Night Raw results

Opening segment
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman come out to the ring. Heyman cut a promo on Seth Rollins. He says that Rollins will learn the hard way at Battleground and his client Brock Lesnar is the god of retribution. He assures Rollins that this sword will pierce Seth Rollins’s shield. Heyman talks about what he’s done in the past by breaking The Undertaker’s streak and taking John Cena to suplex city. He says that Heyman harbors disrespect for Seth Rollins because Rollins has broken the 11th commandment….thou shou not intentionally provoke the beast Brock Lesnar. He says that Rollins provoked him at WrestleMania, the day after WrestleMania, and two weeks ago on Raw when The Authority piled on the beast. Heyman says that the title match may take place in St. Louis but the beating and the suplexes begin tonight. He calls Chicago the city hall of suplex city. Heyman says that his client has heard that Rollins will be here tonight. Brock and Heyman are getting an amazing reaction from the Chicago crowd.
Big Show comes out for his match.

Ryback vs. Big Show
The Miz is at ringside with a microphone mocking telling Big Show to hit Ryback “one more time.” Â They went to commercial a few minutes into the match. The finish was Miz getting in the ring and attacking Show and Ryback. Miz ended up cornered by both men in the middle of the ring. Ryback shellshocked Miz. Big Show picked up Miz and chokeslammed him. Ryback took out Big Show.

Paige vs. Brie Bella
Nikki gets the win thanks to help from Alicia Fox and Nikki. All three women attack Paige after the match.

J&J Security are shown riding around Chicago earlier today in their new car.
Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus
Pretty physical match. The finish came with Roman hitting Sheamus with the superman punch. Bray Wyatt’s music plays and the lights go out. Roman runs after a man that looks like BRay and punches him but Bray reveals himself on the big screen. Sheamus wins by count out. Randy Orton comes out, attacks Sheamus and hits the RKO on him.
Triple H and Seth Rollins talk backstage. Rollins asks what the plan is tonight for Brock since Kane is on vacation and Noble still has busted ribs. Triple H gets Rollins hyped up and Rollins declares that he will call out Brock tonight.

Rusev/Summer Rae and Dolph Ziggler/Lana segment
Rusev said that he came out to apologize. The fans chanted for Lana. Rusev got angry. He said that he apologizes for wasting a year of his life on the snake, blonde witch Lana. He apologizes for the stupid Americans for loving her like she never did anything wrong. He apologized for putting himself as low as Dolph Ziggler. Summer told the crowd to show him the respect that he deserves. Rusev kissed Summers’s hand and looked like he was about to give her more than that but Dolph Ziggler and Lana came out. Ziggler says that Lana is the reason why Rusev has gotten his opportunities in WWE. Ziggler says that Rusev lost what he had but he found her. Ziggler kisses Lana. The girls are about to fight but Rusev beats Ziggler with the crutch. Rusev kicks Ziggler in the face as Lana is crying in the corner. Rusev takes off his protective boot so his ankle must be healed up. Summer kicks Lana and tosses her out of the ring. Rusev punches Ziggler several times in the back of the head. Ziggler is briefly able to fight back but Rusev gets the best of him and rams the crutch into Ziggler’s jaw. Referees come out to check on Ziggler. Rusev hit Ziggler with the crutch several times again as the trainers brought the stretcher to ringside.

Bo Dallas comes to the ring. He says it was horrible to see what happened to Dolph Ziggler and bad things happen to bad people and good things happen to good people. Good people like himself and all you have to do is BOLIEVE.
Dean Ambrose vs. Bo Dallas
This was a short match. Ambrose got in most of the offense and he won with Dirty Deeds. Chicago loves Ambrose.
They showed more footage from earlier today of J&J driving around Chicago in their new car.

King Barrett vs. R-Truth
Barrett won with the bull hammer. It was a competitive match that lasted two segments with a commercial break.
Rollins is shown backstage with J&J Security. They look united.

Seth Rollins calls out Brock Lesnar
Rollins comes out to the ring with J&J Security and cuts a promo. He basically calls Brock Lesnar out to the ring. Paul Heyman brings out a steel crate. Rollins and J&J Security have lumberjack sticks so Lesnar pulls out two axes. Lesnar then leans up against J&J Security’s new car and proceeds to demolish the car. Lesnar destroyed Mercury and did an overhead suplex onto the car. Rollins was left along in the ring. Brock went after him but Rollins escaped through the crowd. Brock posed in the ring with the WWE title. Brock then walked over and stood on the car as they went to commercial.

New Day vs. Lucha Dragons
Prime Time Players are by the announcers. New Day wins with the big ending. Big E got the pin on Sin Cara.

John Cena’s Open Challenge
John Cena came out to issue his open challenge. Owens said that Cena comes out and spews the same garbage every week. Owens says that he wants the U.S. title so he could stop hearing the stupid crap coming out of Cena’s match. Owens said that he will take the title right here, right now. Cesaro’s music plays and he comes out. Cesaro says that nobody wants to see Owens come out and whine about losing his NXT Championship. He tells Owens to step aside because he is the one that deserves to challenge for the US title, not Owens. He said that Owens cost him his title win last week. He says that Owens will not beat Cena for the US title at Battleground. He says that Owens will have a problem if he doesn’t get out of the ring now. Owens backs off and walks off. It’s going to be Cena vs. Cesaro.

John Cena vs. Cesaro (US Championship)
They got plenty of time to work since this is this is the final segment of the show. There was a spot in the match where Cena was going to go for a move off the top rope but Cesaro dropkicked Cena and knocked him to the outside of the ring. Cesaro charged with an uppercut and brought Cena back in the ring. Cesaro got on the top rope and dove onto Cena but Cena caught him, rolled through, put him on his back and went for the AA but Cesaro landed on his feet. Cena managed to get Cesaro up for a modified version of X-Pac’s X Factor. Minutes later Cena had Cesaro on his back but Cesaro slipped out. Cena dives on Cesaro at ringside, Ceasaro catches him and dumps him over his back into the barricade. Cesaro charged at Cena but Cena back bodydrops him into the timekeepers area. Back in the ring, Cena goes up top but gets hit with an uppercut. Cesaro tries for a superplex but Cena headbutts him off. Cena hits a legdrop off the top rope. Cesaro kicks out at two. Cesaro almost got a pinfall when he caught Cena with an uppercut as Cena came off the ropes. Cesaro was going for something but Cena caught him with a surprise AA. Pin attempt. 2 count. Great great match. Fans chanted “this is awesome.” Cesaro caught Cena in the giant swing. Cena had his hands outstretched. Cesaro then locked in the sharpshooter. Then he locked in the STF submission. Cena then turned it around and locked in the STF but Cesaro powered out of it and turned it into a northen lights suplex. 2 count. Awesome match. Cena went for the springboard stunner but missed it. Cesaro hit the neutralizer, pin attempt, 2 count. Cena fights back but Cesaro catches Cena and hits a tornado DDT and locks in the crossface. Cena makes it to the bottom rope. Cesaro did a superplex by pulling Cena into the ring from the ring apron. 2 count. They hit the ropes, Cena managed to hit a sitdown powerbomb and went for a pin. 2 count. Cena set up Cesaro on his shoulders on the ropes but Cesaro fought back with elbows. Cesaro went for the neutralizer off the top rope but Cena fought back. Cena got Cesaro on his shoulders and hit the AA from the second rope. Cena got the pin and retains the title.
Kevin Owens attacked Cean after the match but Cena caught him in the AA. Owens ran off. Â That was a great main event.
