In the ring, Seth Rollins said he injured his knee last Monday against Jinder Mahal. I had an MRI done and I have Grade 2 tear of my ACL. I have a partially torn medial meniscus and the doctors are telling me with surgery we are looking at 3-4 months. We don’t know what the future holds, so I’m taking it day by day. Imperium came to the ring. Gunther told Rollins you should concentrate on me. To hear that you might miss WrestleMania makes me sad. Rollins said what I was about to say is I don’t care what the doctors told me. I don’t care how hard I have to rehab and push this knee. I will take this title into WrestleMania and I will do everything in my power to walk out of WrestleMania as the champion. Gunther said I admire that because I would do the same thing in your position. You remind me of myself. From one great champion to another, I’m telling you I’m going to win the Royal Rumble on Saturday and I’m choosing you for WrestleMania. I’m going to target your knee and back and I will become the champion. Rollins said to remember who you’re coming after. Gunther said you better remember who’s coming after you. They shook hands to end the segment. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods jumped Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci outside the ring.
Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) vs The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)
Both teams fought outside the ring and got counted out. They continued to fight on top of the equipment case and all four crashed through a table.
Backstage, Rhea Ripley told Damian Priest that you seem like you want to fight everybody. I just got out of Adam Pearce’s office and he told me you and Finn Balor have to defend your tag team title against DIY, so I think Drew McIntyre is the least of our worries. Priest said I’m not trying to fight everyone and Drew will get handled by me. I’m not the one walking around backstage with the big head because I’m on the cover of 2K. I’m also not the one going to Pearce’s office to make matches for The Judgment Day every other week. I got an idea. Stop going to his office. Rhea told Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh that DIY should have been taken care a long time ago and you’ve disappointed me. Dominik and JD apologized to her. Balor started to laugh. Rhea asked him what’s so funny and told him Priest will take care of Drew alone and you will be ringside for Dominik’s match because it’s been a long time since I’ve seen the vicious side of you. Balor told her I will show you vicious.
Backstage, Maxxine Dupri said Ivy Nile will defeat Valhalla tonight. The Creed Brothers came in to encourage Ivy. Ivy told them she got this.

Nile hit the Pitbull off the top rope and pinned her.

Backstage, Jey Uso said hello to the New Day. Kofi Kingston said he is challenging Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship next week on RAW.
In the ring, Nia Jax said she is going to win the Royal Rumble. Becky Lynch got in the ring. Lynch told Jax nobody in the locker room likes her. Bayley came out and told them they are both going to lose because I’m winning the Royal Rumble. Bayley pushed Lynch into Jax. All three brawled amongst themselves. Jax threw Lynch over the top rope and dropped a leg on Bayley.
Dominik Mysterio (w/Finn Balor & JD McDonagh) vs The Miz
JD got on the ring apron to distract the referee. Balor kicked Miz in the head. Dominik gave Miz the 619 followed by the frog splash to pin him. After the match, Balor pounded on Miz until DIY came in to clear the ring of Judgment Day

Backstage, R-Truth came to Priest and said here is your cut of the merchandise. Priest said what I have going on tonight is serious and now is not the time. Priest said Drew was the man around here when everyone was struggling. When everybody was back at 100%, he couldn’t beat Roman, he couldn’t beat Gunther, and now he can’t beat Seth Rollins. Now out of pure jealousy, he wants to make sure I don’t beat Rollins, but I will be champion, and tonight, Rollins will receive his punishment.
Backstage, Bronson Reed said I am fully aware that Jey Uso intends on becoming a singles champion in WWE. So do I. That means eventually our paths are going to cross and the sooner the better. I’m challenging you to a match next week on RAW.
Ivar vs Chad Gable
Gable gave Ivar a German Suplex off the middle rope. Gable climbed to the top rope and Valhalla got on the ring apron to distract him. Ivar grabbed Gable and slammed him to the mat. Ivar climbed to the top rope,gave him Gable a moonsault, and pinned him.

Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were in the ring. Punk said in 2007, you were starting your journey as a wrestler in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Your dad told me to keep an eye on my kid. I didn’t know you yet, but when Dusty Rhodes asks you for a favor, you say yes. I stayed out of your way because you didn’t get into any trouble. I watched you grow from a preliminary wrestler into a main event championship superstar and I’m proud of you. I bring this up because I feel that on Saturday, I’m going to be breaking a promise because I’m not going to be looking out after you, I’m going to be looking for you. Cody said you treated me well in OVW which makes this bittersweet because in the Royal Rumble, there are no friends. Punk said what about Sunday morning? I know there are no friends. What about Sunday morning because I can separate business from personal. Can you? I didn’t have the famous father you had. My father was an electrician which makes me more of an American Dream than you. Cody said when you dropped the pipe bomb, you inspired change, but then you left, and when you left, you really left. You didn’t pass the torch, you dropped it on the way out and you didn’t care who picked it up, but I think you know who did. I did. Everything you spoke about, I literally did, so that makes me more CM Punk than you. Cody brushed by Punk on his way out of the ring. Punk turned him around and they stared face to face at each other before they left the ring.
A video aired celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Hulk Hogan winning the WWF Championship. Hogan said I can think of two or three guys I would bet on winning the Royal Rumble, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and you never know. I may have one left in me.
Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae vs Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler
Kayden Carter and Katana Chance were at ringside to watch the match. Baszler caught LeRae in the Kirifuda Clutch. LeRae rolled up Baszler, but Stark made the tag and hit LeRae with the Z-360 and pinned her. After the match, Carter and Chance got in the ring, but Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai jumped Carter and Chance.

Backstage, Drew McIntyre said I heard what Damian Priest said earlier. I’m sick of people trying to put a negative spin on what I achieved when I was champion. That was the most proud I’ve been of my career. Priest is not ready to be the champion. Everyone can’t have a destiny and a story. There is only room for one chosen one and you’re looking at him.
Damian Priest vs Drew McIntyre
Priest and McIntyre were fighting outside the ring. Priest threw McIntyre back in the ring. R-Truth came to ringside to give Priest his money. Priest pushed Truth down to the mat. Truth tried to put the money in Priest’s briefcase, but couldn’t get it open. With McIntyre getting set to give Priest a Claymore Kick, Truth got on the ring apron and asked Priest for the combination. Priest punched Truth which sent Truth into the ring and the money went flying. The referee tried to get Truth out of the ring. McIntyre charged at Priest to give him the Claymore, but Priest caught him and gave him the South of Heaven. Priest went for the cover, but the referee was still trying to get Truth out of the ring. Priest threw Truth out of the ring. Priest turned around and got hit with the Claymore Kick and pinned.
