Roman Reigns – Cody Rhodes – CM Punk open the show

WWE Monday Night Raw started with Roman Reigns coming down the aisle into the ring. He asked the fans to acknowledge him, and they did. Cody Rhodes’ music played and he made his way into the ring. Cody asked Roman what’s in this for him to be in the WarGames. Roman said he’s been in this war, but Cody is just joining it now. He knows they don’t like each other, but what he knows is that they don’t play around when it comes to their families. Roman went on to say that the last time he checked, his family is half of the team. Cody said, welcome to my team and offered his hand to Roman.

At that point, CM Punk’s music played and he made his way to the ring. Punk told Roman last year he saved his life at WarGames. He’s not worried about Roman stabbing him in the back as he would be hurting his family, and he wouldn’t do that, or would he? He then turned to Cody and said he may be the quarterback on Friday’s, but on Monday’s, he’s the champ. Roman said he doesn’t like Cody or Punk, but he hates Paul Heyman and The Vision more than he hates them. Roman then said that title would look so much better on his shoulder and left. Punk asked if he was talking to him or Cody. Roman said that’s for you to figure out.

Backstage:

Paul Heyman reminded Drew McIntyre that he is still suspended. The only reason they let him in the building is because he picked him for the advantage match, but he can’t do anything to get thrown out. Paul Heyman then told Logan Paul that he is Drew’s partner tonight in the WarGames advantage match.

Last Time is Now Tournament Quarterfinal: Gunther vs. Carmelo Hayes

There were a couple of teases that Gunther would lose by countout as that is how Hayes advanced in round one of the tournament. Hayes missed the Nothing But Net and got clotheslined and powerbombed by Gunther for a near fall. He locked Hayes in the sleeper. With Hayes almost escaping, Gunther hit him with a powerbomb and pinned him

Dominik Mysterio said he’s going to put an end to Cena’s retirement tour at Survivor Series and take back his Intercontinental Championship. John Cena’s music played and a little John Cena came out. Dominik kicked little John down and hit him with the Five Knuckle Shuffle, the 619 and the frog splash. Rey Mysterio came to the ring and Dominik left.

Rey Mysterio vs JD McDonagh (w/ Finn Balor)

JD got out of the way of the 619 and hit a running Spanish Fly on Rey. Rey hit JD with a Mexican Destroyer for a two-count. Rey went for a 619, but Balor tripped him up behind the referee’s back. Balor got on the ring apron. JD charged at Rey, but Rey gave him a drop toe hold, sending him into Balor. Rey then hit the 619 on JD and pinned him.

Women’s WarGames teams brawl:

Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and the Kabuki Warriors were in the ring. Lynch said losing the Intercontinental Championship is going to be overturned. For now, she is going to get rid of AJ Lee at WarGames. She went over her differences with the Kabuki Warriors and Nia Jax, told them they are better than them, but they are all on the same page to win WarGames.

Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and AJ Lee came to the ring. AJ cut a promo and handed the microphone to Rhea who hit Nia in the face with it. Both teams brawled with each other with the faces clearing the ring of the heels.
