Gauntlet Match For WWE World Heavyweight Title Shot at SummerSlam: Bron Breakker vs. LA Knight vs. Penta vs. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso

Naomi – Rhea Ripley – IYO SKY confrontation

The new Women’s World Champion Naomi came to the ring to address the audience. She said I didn’t betray Bianca. I outgrew her. Bianca and Jade didn’t want me to succeed. They wanted me as a third wheel. She warned everybody in the back to proceed with caution which brought our Rhea Ripley.

Ripley said I’m not cautious, I’m pissed. I planned on beating IYO SKY and getting back the championship. You now made it onto my list. SKY came out. SKY told Ripley to get in line because she is going to get her title back. Naomi told both of them to go to the back of the line.

Adam Pearce welcomed Naomi to Monday Night RAW and said she deserves to be the champion. He scheduled a Triple Threat match with the three of them for SummerSlam.

Backstage:

Dominik Mysterio said he feels like he is being stalked by AJ Styles. Finn Balor told him that he is untouchable as long as he has the note from the doctor stating he is not medically cleared to compete. He told Dominik to escort Raquel Rodriquez and Roxanne Perez to the ring to make sure the titles are here when Liv Morgan returns. 

Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez vs The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)

Dominik got on the ring apron and distracted the referee. Asuka came off the top rope with a missile dropkick on Perez. Dominik got on the ring apron again. Asuka came over and hit Dominik, sending him off the ring apron. Perez immediately rolled up Asuka afterwards with leverage from Raquel to score the pin.

Winners: Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez

Backstage:

Paul Heyman said he doesn’t have an update on Seth Rollins’ medical evaluation, but he has until next June to cash in his Money in the Bank. Tonight, Bron Breakker will run the Gauntlet and become the number one contender for the World Championship at SummerSlam.

They played a clip of George Kittle giving The Miz a superkick during the American Century Golf Championship yesterday.

Backstage:

Lyra Valkyria will defeat Bayley in the two out of three falls match tonight and go on to beat Becky Lynch at SummerSlam. Bayley showed up and said she needs to win this match tonight so she better stay out of her way.

2 out of 3 Falls Match: Bayley vs Lyra Valkyria

Bayley slapped Lyra in the face and rolled her up to win the first fall. Lyra blocked a cradle and rolled on top of her to win the second fall. Bayley gave Lyra a sunset flip outside the ring which sent Lyra’s back and neck crashing into the ring steps. Bayley threw Lyra back in the ring and gave her a flying elbow off the top rope for a near fall. Lyra escaped the crossface and gave Bayley the Nightwing to score the pinfall. Becky Lynch came to the ring and had a staredown with Lyra after the match.

Winner: Lyra Valkyria

Backstage:

Stephanie Vaquer said will become champion at Clash in Paris. Chelsea Green stepped in and called her a loser. Stephanie wanted to fight Chelsea, but Chelsea said she would like to, but she is fighting Nikki Bella tonight.

Pre-tape interview:

Karrion Kross said he doesn’t believe Sami Zayn is hurt. He believes Sami is home because he didn’t like the ultimatum he gave him. Kross told him to stay home until he is ready to tell the world that what he told him is the truth.

Nikki Bella vs Chelsea Green (w/Piper Niven & Alba Fyre)

Niven got on the ring apron to distract the referee. Fyre got on the opposite side of the ring but Nikki caught her and threw her into the ring post. Nikki punched Niven off the ring apron and gave Green the Rack Attack 2.0 and pinned her. 

After the match, Niven and Fyre attacked Nikki. Stephanie Vaquer came in and beat up both Niven and Fyre. Nikki raised Stephanie’s hand to end the segment. 

Winner: Nikki Bella

Backstage:

The New Day demanded a rematch for the Tag Team Championship while Grayson Waller offered Adam Pearce a couple of toupees to choose from. Pearce said next week The New Day will have an opportunity to earn a rematch next week. Pearce walked away to find Judgment Day. He told Dominik Mysterio that next week Dominik is scheduled to be reevaluated. If he is cleared, he is going to sign a contract between Dominik and AJ Styles at SummerSlam. AJ was on his knees praying that Dominik would be cleared.

Backstage:

Sheamus told Rusev they are having a rematch.

Gunther came to the ring. He gloated over the fact that he retired Bill Goldberg at Saturday Night Main Event. He will now see who wins the Gauntlet Match to determine his next opponent at SummerSlam. Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman made their way to the ring. Heyman shook Gunther’s hand. As Heyman started to talk, Gunther said he’s not interested in what he has to say and he is going to leave now. Breakker stepped in front of Gunther. Heyman told Gunther that Breakker is going to run the gauntlet and then beat him at SummerSlam. He mentioned that Breakker isn’t just another contender, he’s a Steiner. 

Gauntlet Match For WWE World Heavyweight Title Shot at SummerSlam: Bron Breakker vs. LA Knight vs. Penta vs. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso

Bron Breakker vs Penta 

Penta came off the ropes with a springboard, but Breakker caught him with a spear and pinned him.

Bron Breakker vs LA Knight

Breakker blocked the BFT and gave him a gut-buster. He followed it up with the spear and the pinfall.

Bron Breakker vs Jey Uso

Jey hit Breakker with the spear for a near fall. Jey went to the top rope, but Bronson Reed pulled him down. Breakker then hit Jey with the spear and pinned him.

Bron Breakker vs CM Punk

Punk went to the top rope. Reed got on the ring apron, but Punk punched him off. Punk came off the top rope with an elbow on Breakker. Punk got the Anaconda Vice on Breakker, but Reed came in and dropped an elbow on Punk. As Reed continued to pound away on Punk, Jey came in and cleared the ring of Reed. Breakker went for the spear, but Punk intercepted him and gave him the GTS and pinned him.

Winner: CM Punk

After the match, Reed again jumped Punk with Jey coming to Punk’s aid. Breakker speared Jey. Reed held Punk allowing Reed to spear Punk. They stacked Jey on Punk. Before Reed could go to the top to attempt a Tsunami, Roman Reigns returned and gave a Superman punch to Reed. As Reigns attacked Breakker, Reed tried to jump him but was met with a Samoan Drop. Reigns gave Breakker a Superman punch and hit a spear on Reed. Reigns and Jey shook hands. Punk got up and he and Jey shook hands. Reigns and Punk stared at each other to end the show.
