Cody Rhodes – Seth Rollins Crown face to face
Cody Rhodes to the ring. He showed us the ring he won at last year’s Crown Jewel event and said he would like to add another one. This brought out Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. The crowd sang along to Rollins’ music. Rollins told them it’s okay for them to stay on the outside as he got in the ring to confront Cody.
Seth said he’s been looking forward to this match since SummerSlam when they both walked out champions. He said it should be as simple as, “May the best man win”, but it’s not. He said he knows what the fans and the locker room think about him. The crowd chanted for CM Punk. Rollins said it’s not about Punk because he’s not a champion. He then asked Cody what he thought of him.
Cody said Seth changed his life. When he came back to WrestleMania, Seth had the courage to stand across an opponent he didn’t know. Without his injury at Hell in the Cell, he wouldn’t know what he was capable of doing. He changed his career at WrestleMania when he helped validate the Rhodes name when he got the championship for his family. He said Rollins is one of the absolute best but that’s when he’s not hiding behind his goons. He’s not going to sling mud with him. He asked what he could do for him.
Rollins said they need to talk about the watch Cody gave him at WrestleMania 40. He hasn’t worn it one time since then until tonight. He said Cody knows what to say to him to put him over and then undermines him by saying he’s the QB1. This means Cody thinks he’s better than him. The Vision is an idea of what the future of what the industry looks like and it runs through him. He’s going to prove at Crown Jewel that this isn’t a two man show and he’s the Alpha.
Cody said in the three matches they’ve had, they’ve all been one-on-one. He asked Rollins if that would be the case at Crown Jewel. Cody reminded Rollins that he won all three and left the ring. Cody was confronted by Breakker and Reed but Cody waved them off and they let him through.
Backstage:
Jimmy Uso told Jey Uso that they lost to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at Wrestlepalooza, but he knows they can beat them. He went to Adam Pearce to get a rematch, but was told Pearce gave Jey a match with LA Knight tonight. Jey yelled at Jimmy saying they would have won at Wrestlepalooza if it wasn’t for Knight and believes the Vision would have taken care of Knight if he didn’t tag with him last week. Jimmy asked him if he’s blaming this on him. Jey said no but he’s going to take care of Knight tonight.Â
No Disqualification Match: The New Day and Grayson Waller vs The War Raiders and Penta
Penta tossed Kingston into a table. Penta went to the top turnbuckle. Grayson hit him with a kendo stick. They brawled on the top turnbuckle and Penta nailed him with an Avalanche Mexican Destroyer and scored the pinfall.

Backstage:
Dominik Mysterio told Finn Balor that the whole Rusev situation is out of control and he’s coming after Dominik’s Intercontinental Championship. Balor told him if he should ask his friend, El Grande Americano for help if he needs it. Dominik said he’s in Mexico this week and asked if Balor could help. Balor told him he’s busy. He asked JD if he was available tonight and JD told him he’s busy. Roxanne Perez told JD he needs to help him because they’re a team. JD agreed, but told him he’s not doing it for him, he’s doing it for Judgment Day. Dominik thanked him and said he’s already talked to Pearce who made the match official between Rusev and JD for tonight.
Backstage:
Bayley was excited to see Lyra Valkyria. Lyra apologized for walking into her room last week. Bayley said it was really good to see her again and asked her to be in her corner tonight. Lyra asked if she was serious because she screamed at her and called her an idiot. Bayley didn’t know what she was talking about and said she wants her in her corner tonight against Roxanne because Raquel will be out there. Lyra said if it means something to her and will bring out her best self, then she will be there for her.
They announced that Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place November 1st at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, UT.
New World Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer interview:
In the ring, Stephanie Vaquer said this is the dream of a lifetime to be Women’s World Champion. She said she beat one of the best on the planet in IYO SKY. She thanked her dad for being her hero and thanked the audience for her support.Â
Adam Page told her that on SmackDown this Friday, Tiffany Stratton is defending the WWE Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill with the winner facing her at WWE Crown Jewel for the Crown Jewel Championship.
Backstage:
Nikki Bella congratulated Stephanie Vaquer. Rhea Ripley came in to also congratulate her and reminded her she’s still coming for that championship. Asuka and Kairi Sane barged in. Asuka told Stephanie she doesn’t deserve to be the champion. Nikki told Asuka that Stephanie deserves to be champion and will be an amazing champion. Stephanie told Asuka that anytime she wants to fight, she will prove to her why she is the champion. Rhea told Asuka that she’s been trying to stay out of her way because of her respect for IYO SKY, but she is tired of her attitude. Asuka again told Rhea to stay away from IYO. Rhea challenged Asuka to a match tonight. Asuka accepted the challenge.Â
Bayley (w/ Lyra Valkyria) vs Roxanne Perez (w/ Raquel Rodriguez)
Roxanne distracted the referee so Raquel could pull Bayley out of the ring. Raquel gave Bayley a big boot to the face. Lyra ran over to fight Raquel. Lyra threw Raquel into the ring post. Roxanne dove through the ropes onto Lyra. Bayley then got a crazed look on her face and pulled Roxanne by the hair back in the ring. Bayley hit her with a Bayley-to-belly and a knee to the face. She followed it up with the Rose Plant and pinned her. After the match, Lyra went to hug Bayley but Bayley pushed her down, told her never to touch her, and to stay out of this.

Backstage:
Jimmy Uso congratulated Cody Rhodes on his victory at Wrestlepalooza. Cody asked how Jey is doing. Jimmy said he’s not listening to him, but he said maybe he will listen to Cody. Cody said he will talk to Jey.
Backstage:
Cody told Jey Uso that he spoke with Jimmy and he’s worried about him. Jey said he’s good. Cody began telling him there are highs and lows, wins and losses, but he has his family and friends. While Cody was talking to him, Jey was looking at Cody’s belt. Cody told him he believes in him. Jey said he will find a way back to the top.Â
Rusev vs JD McDonagh (w/ Dominik Mysterio)
Rusev hit JD with a monster kick. He locked in the Accolade on JD. Dominik got on the ring apron but was reluctant to come in against Rusev. JD tapped out but Rusev would not release the hold. Dominik still didn’t come into the ring to help JD. Finn Balor came in and pulled Rusev off JD. He began arguing with Dominik on why he didn’t get in the ring to pull Rusev off JD. Balor turned around and clotheslined Rusev over the top rope. Balor continued to argue with Dominik while helping JD up the entrance ramp.
Winner: Rusev

Backstage:
Asuka told IYO SKY that she is having the match with Rhea Ripley to teach her respect and left. IYO told Kairi Sane to talk to Asuka. Kairi said Asuka is right and we must listen to her. Asuka then yelled for Kairi to come over to her.
Backstage:
LA Knight said the way things went down at Wrestlepalooza was because he was making sure Jey Uso was okay but Jey shoved him out of the way and ate a spear through the table. He doesn’t want to hurt Jey, but if he makes him, he will.Â
Jey Uso vs LA Knight
Knight hit Jey with a DDT and followed it with an elbow off the top rope. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed came to ringside. Knight knocked Breakker off the ring apron and threw Reed into the ring post. Knight turned around and Jey hit him with a spear. He then climbed to the top rope and hit him with the Uso Splash and pinned him.
Winner: Jey Uso
After the match, Jey left the ring and made his way up the entrance ramp. Jimmy Uso came out and asked Jey to help him fight Breakker and Reed as they were getting ready to attack Knight in the ring but Jey walked off. Jimmy ran into the ring with a chair to fend them off before the attack could occur.Â

Backstage:
Lynch complained to Seth Rollins about Rhodes, the Usos, and the fans but Rollins seemed to be distracted in thought. Lynch said they are trying to steal what they built and she is going to make an example and left.Â
Backstage:
Rhea Ripley asked IYO SKY if they were allowed to be around each other. IYO wanted Ripley to cancel her match against Asuka. Ripley said she was sick of Asuka being disrespectful and hoped they could beat the respect into each other like they did with each other. Ripley told her to be careful around Asuka. IYO said Asuka was family and was the reason she was there. IYO said she could trust Asuka, but didn’t know if she could trust Ripley. Â
Joe Tessitore announced the lineup for next week’s WWE Monday Night Raw:
- Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Rusev for the Intercontinental Championship
- Bayley vs. Raquel Rodriguez
- The Usos vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed in a tornado tag match
Backstage:
Maxxine Dupri asked Adam Page for a match. Page said the women’s division is as strong as it’s ever been. He asked that Dupri continue to do what she’s doing and give him some time to find the right opportunity for her.
AJ Styles and Dragon Lee came in. Styles told Page the Americanos are starting to piss him off. They asked for a match against them next week. Page said he is going to talk the Americanos about which two are going to face them and to consider the match official for next week.
Asuka (w/ Kairi Sane) vs Rhea Ripley
With Asuka down, she told Kairi to go and hit Rhea. Kairi got on the ring apron holding back her hand from hitting Rhea. Kairi reluctantly threw a backhand at Rhea, but Rhea blocked it. Asuka charged at Rhea. Rhea moved out of the way and Asuka crashed into Kairi. Rhea rolled up Asuka and pinned her to win the match.
Winner: Rhea Ripley
After the match, Asuka blew mist in Rhea’s face. She then ordered Kairi to attack Rhea. Kairi paused but then began punching Rhea. IYO SKY ran to the ring and pleaded with Asuka to stop. Asuka hugged IYO but then hit her with a backfist. Asuka ordered Kairi to hit IYO. Kairi then began punching IYO. Kairi held IYO while Asuka kicked her. Asuka then ordered Kairi to hit the Insane Elbow on IYO which she did. Kairi acted disgusted at all of this as the show went off the air.
