WWE taped the New Year’s Eve edition of Monday Night Raw on Friday night in Detroit, Michigan.

Here are the results:

WWE Main Event tapings

Titus O’Neil defeated Curt Hawkins.
The Revival defeated Tyler Breeze and Zack Ryder.

WWE Raw tapings

The show kicked off between the Steel Cage match featuring Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre. Good match. McIntyre pinned Ziggler. McIntyre attacked Ziggler with a chair after the match. McIntyre grabbed the mic and proclaimed himself as the king of the Raw jungle and said that things did not have to be this way but Dolph is nothing and pathetic. He said Dolph Ziggler doesn’t deserve scraps. McIntyre said that the chapter with Ziggler is closed and now he will focus on winning the Royal Rumble match so he could finally win the Universal Championship at WrestleMania.

Shane McMahon and Triple H were shown on the big screen as they arrived to the arena.

Seth Rollins walks out the ring and demands an Intercontinental Title rematch against Dean Ambrose. Triple H’s music plays and he walks to the ring.

Rollins was told by Triple H that he needed to earn his rematch by facing Bobby Lashley later tonight because automatic rematches are a thing of the past. Shane McMahon walked out and announced a battle royal for tonight and said that the winner would face Ambrose for the title. In addition to Balor, the battle royal included No Way Jose, Titus O’Neil, Curt Hawkins, The B-Team, The Ascension, Lucha House Party, Mojo Rawley, and Tyler Breeze. The final four were Baron Corbin, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins and Apollo Crews. The last man standing was Crews so he will get an IC title match.

In a backstage segment, Natalya announced that she would be entering the Royal Rumble match. Tamina and Nia Jax attacked Natalya.

Baron Corbin returned to the ring and said that he deserves a reward, despite not winning the battle royal. Elias appeared on the stage with his guitar and he played a song. This turned into a riot between Elias and Corbin that spilled into the crowd. Corbin ended up running off the backstage area.

Bayley, Sasha Banks and Ember Moon defeated The Riott Squad.

Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins ended with Lashley winning by DQ because Rollins used a chair. The crowd loved this. Apparently, this is Rollins showing Triple H that the “old Rollins” can still come out. Earlier in the night, Triple H said that he wanted to see the “old Rollins.”

It was announced that WWE will return to Detroit for a live event on March 9, 2019. Presale code is WWEPRE.

Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers defeated Rhyno and Heath Slater.

They did a segment with fans doing wrestler impressions on the stage area. One fan impersonated Macho Man, a kid impersonated Finn Balor and a young girl did an impression of The Rock. Not sure if this will air on TV or if this was just done so they could stall for time while they film content backstage.

Dean Ambrose vs. Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Championship. Ambrose won so he retained his title. We were told that the match was not very good. There were some CM Punk chants that will probably get edited out by Monday.

It was announced that Alexa Bliss would be getting a talk show titled “A Moment of Bliss” starting next week. Her first guest will be Ronda Rousey. Looks like Bliss is not expected to be cleared anytime soon. This was hyped as the first ever WWE talk show segment hosted by a woman.

The main event was Ronda Rousey and Natalya defeating Nia Jax and Tamina.

On the video screen, it was announced that John Cena, Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar would be returning on next week’s show.

Next week’s show will also feature The Revival challenging Bobby Roode and Chad Gable for the Raw Tag Team Titles.

Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose for the IC title in a steel cage was the dark match. Ambrose won but only because Rollins nailed Ambrose with several superkicks that caused Ambrose to fall out of the cage door and to the floor to retain the title.
