The WWE Championship match between champion Bobby Lashley and Kofi Kingston was slotted third on the card at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view with the story being that Lashley is attempting to turn things around because he has gotten “soft” in recent weeks.
Kingston charged at Lashley to get the upper hand but Lashley quickly tossed Kingston up in the air and he continued the offense with strikes and shoulders in the corner of the ring. Lashley briefly rocked Lashley with a kick to the face but Lashley quickly took over with power offense and he continued the attack around the ringside area.
Back in the ring, Lashley continued to dominate the match with several of his trademark moves including the full nelson and several dominators. Kingston submitted to the Hurt Lock in a match that was dominated about 98 percent of the way by Lashley. This was basically a squash match.
