WWE released their streaming schedule for the WWE Network on Monday, which is where it was announced a new documentary on Goldberg will air.
This is in addition to the streaming service airing a non-WWE documentary titled “Heaven” this week.
“Goldberg At 54” is slated to premiere on Sunday at 10 am ET and a replay will be shown at 8 pm ET on the live feed. While it won’t be available on the free version of the service, fans who have a subscription can watch it on-demand.
This new documentary will follow the WWE Hall of Famer as he prepared for his match with then-WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event this past January. Goldberg lost the quick match.
WWE noted about the documentary that, “this intimate look reveals the mental and physical challenges that Goldberg was forced to confront during his most recent comeback as he readied to challenge a world-beater 20 years his junior.”
Goldberg has previously confirmed that his current WWE deal calls for him to work two matches per year. Thus, he has one more to go. It’s been previously reported that Goldberg and John Cena were nearly locks for WrestleMania 37, but Cena has already confirmed that he can’t make it. As for Goldberg, there have been no recent reports about his WrestleMania status.
