WWE Network to Peacock account transfer details still unclear

WWE sold its streaming rights to the WWE Network in the United States to NBCU’s Peacock service. This $1 billion dollar deal includes all of the company’s pay-per-view events. However, it only impacts fans in the United States.

WWE’s programming will be part of Peacock’s ‘Premium’ tier as fans will be able to purchase for $4.99 a month and includes ads. If you don’t want to watch ads then fans can subscribe to the ‘Premium Plus’ tier, which costs $9.99 and is commercial-free.

When the deal was announced earlier this year, the belief was that those who already have a WWE Network account would automatically be transferred to Peacock.

However, the way that the transfer will work has still yet to be confirmed. WWE and Peacock did post Q&A guides to help fans navigate the merger, which is supposed to begin on March 18th, though fans can still access WWE Network for Fastlane.

Regarding the transfer, WWE did note, “Be on the lookout for an email with more specific directions on when and how to sign up for Peacock,” while Peacock stated, “Starting in April, Peacock will be the exclusive streaming home of WWE Network. Until then, you can keep watching directly on WWE Network, as long as you have an active subscription. You can also create a Peacock account to stream WWE Network on Peacock beginning March 18.”
