– As seen on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, Kane was wrestling Bray Wyatt when Randy Orton ran down to the ring and turned on Kane as he hit him with an RKO, which led to Wyatt picking up the victory. Orton teased later in the show that he has joined the Wyatt Family. “If you can’t beat them, join them,” Orton said in a backstage interview. Kane appeared on Talking Smack and commented on Orton’s actions. Kane said what happened is his fault because he turned his back. He added that Orton would pay for what he did.

– After SmackDown Live went off the air on the USA Network in Green Bay, WI at the Resch Center, Dolph Ziggler defended the WWE Intercontinental Title against The Miz in the dark match for the live crowd. Ziggler retained the title and celebrated with the fans to close the show.

– Dean Ambrose faced AJ Styles in the main event of SmackDown Live, and the stipulation for the match was if Ambrose won then he would be the #1 Contender for the WWE Title. James Ellsworth, who holds two victories over Styles, was at ringside for the match and super kicked Styles, which caused the DQ finish. Ellsworth took to Twitter to apologize.
