WWE news on John Cena and why he was eliminated early at Survivor Series
Several of you have asked about John Cena’s status following Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. There was not a ton of focus put on Cena because his appearance (he was originally supposed to be the special referee for Jinder Mahal vs. AJ Styles) was just for the pay-per-view and he is not figured into storylines right now. They had storylines that needed to play out towards the end of the match with Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Braun Strowman so that is why Cena was eliminated early.
Cena’s schedule will allow him to work on live events in late December. He is advertised for the following live event dates:
December 26 – MSG in NYC (Raw)
December 27 – Uniondale, NY (Raw)
December 28 – Hartford, CT (Raw)
December 29 – Albany, NY (Raw)
December 30 – Tampa, FL (Smackdown)
Cena has had an incredible year. His WWE schedule has been greatly reduced but that is because he is in high demand for TV and movie projects. On Thanksgiving Day, he talked about being thankful:
All of us have different things to be thankful for. Wishing everyone a safe and #HappyThanksgiving
