WWE news on what happened during filming of Money in the Bank ladder matches at corporate headquarters

Additional backstage news regarding WWE taping footage for the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event has surfaced online.

The men’s and women’s ladder matches will be held at the WWE corporate offices in Stamford, CT. To see photos of the construction at the Headquarters, click here.

The company has already confirmed that Superstars will begin on the ground floor of WWE Headquarters and they need to make it to the roof and grab the briefcase to win the matches.

Fightful Select reports that WWE flew talent out to Stamford on Tuesday and multiple matches were filmed simultaneously. It started early morning all the way until nearly midnight that night. It was noted that the filming for the matches was said to be tedious, and a lot of “hurry up and wait” for the next shots to get set up.

Also, the matches were filmed in a more cinematic manner. As of this writing, there’s no word yet as to whether it will be done like the Boneyard, Firefly Fun House, or even the Tommaso Ciampa vs. Johnny Gargano matches.

With it being cold outside, talent was trying to stay warm during filming as they’d have to go from standing around to bumping on short notice.

Finally, there was said to be a hiccup that caused filming to stop for an undetermined period of time. There’s no word yet as to what the issue was but it was eventually settled.
