WWE has a 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority and the company is paid big money to host two events in the country per year. From time to time, the Saudi officials will have talent requests.

Over the years, it’s been reported that they wanted certain talent such as The Undertaker to appear while other requests have been interesting such as wanting Yokozuna and The Ulitmate Warrior to appear even though they passed away years ago.

Fightful Select reported today that Saudi officials wanted a match with former WWE star Hornswoggle at one of the recent WWE shows in the Kingdom. WWE went through with the request and came up with an idea to use Hornswoggle. They even brought Robbie “The Giant” Araujo to the event, but wasn’t used.

Some fans may remember Araujo as he appeared on WWE TV as “JB-Elf.” Back in April 2018, WWE brought in Hornswoggle for a one-off as he worked the 50-man Royal Rumble match at the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble event.

Hornswoggle had been released from his WWE contract in May 2016. He’s currently working in Impact Wrestling and recently took part in his first boxing match.
