WWE no longer advertising Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio for tonight’s Monday Night Raw

WWE has quietly pulled Kurt Angle from the preview page that lists matches and segments planned for tonight’s Monday Night Raw.

It’s an interesting move as far as timing because this comes shortly after the wave of criticism directed at the company following John Oliver’s HBO piece about how WWE can do better in regards to the health of their performers.

It’s been clear to fans that Angle has had trouble in recent weeks during his matches because of the wear and tear on his body and many fans have wondered why he has been allowed to perform in the ring on Raw and SmackDown Live given his neck issues. In a Facebook post last week, Angle acknowledged that he is not the same wrestler he was just a few years ago before he got sober.

As of this writing, there is no hint of Angle vs. Rey Mysterio on the Raw section on so the match may have been pulled from tonight’s show.

Kurt Angle’s farewell match against Baron Corbin is still listed on the WrestleMania 35 preview page so it looks like that match is still scheduled to take place as scheduled.
