WWE no longer advertising match for tonight’s NXT

WWE has been building up the New Year’s Evil special of NXT for the past few weeks.

There have been some big matches announced ahead of the broadcast tonight. WWE made the decision to not only air the opening contest, which is Karrion Kross with Scarlett vs. Damian Priest, but also the main event, NXT Champion Finn Balor vs. Kyle O’Reilly, commercial-free.

With it only being a two-hour broadcast and those matches mentioned above likely getting plenty of time, it appears that WWE is dealing with time issues.

Fans have picked up that WWE has removed Tommaso Ciampa vs. Timothy Thatcher in a Fight Pit from the NXT preview article on WWE.com as well as all mentions of it on social media. Thus, the match has been pulled from the broadcast.

Other matches featured on the card include Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Gonzalez in a Last Woman Standing Match, NXT Cruiserweight Santos Escobar defending against Gran Metalik, Xia Li and Boa return from their transformation.
