Dave Meltzer reported this morning that WWE was not happy about Hulk Hogan’s return being leaked to TMZ on Friday. Apparently what WWE intended was for the story to get out to the media on Monday hours before Raw. Once the story got out on Friday then WWE decided to just sent out the mobile alert and run the story on WWE.com about Hogan’s return. There are people backstage in WWE wondering why Hogan’s return was not announced on last week’s Raw since there will be a large chunk of the audience that does not read wrestling news on the internet and may not know about Hogan’s return until they tune into Raw.
