WWE NXT 2.0 star slated for main roster call up after WrestleMania

LA Knight has found a lot of success during his time in his second WWE NXT run and he is currently feuding with Grayson Waller on the developmental show.

In addition to his work in NXT, he’s also been working dark matches prior to Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks. This past Monday night, WWE shot an angle on social media between Knight and the Dirty Dawgs where Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler got into an argument with Knight.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE management is high on Knight and “as of a few weeks ago, he was slated for a main roster spot in the spring, after WrestleMania.” Due to the angle mentioned above, it was speculated that his main roster arrival may have been sped up, but that’s not confirmed.

As previously reported, Knight, as well as Roderick Strong, Io Shirai and Dakota Kai, are scheduled to be backstage at tonight’s SmackDown event in Kansas City, likely to work more dark matches.

After notable runs with various promotions such as TNA Wrestling and NWA, Knight returned to WWE in 2021. His first WWE run lasted from 2013-2014.
